Currently I'm on a rally, watching Sons Of Anarchy (from the beginning), finishing in about a week. Any modern TV series you would strongly recommend? I've watched Californication,Breaking Bad, Newsroom, Homeland, Spartacus, Dexter. Same with 2 Broke Girls. Thought it was pretty annoying at first but it's pretty good after watching the whole season. They definitely push the envelope with the sex innuendos. I think it will get old quick. Definitely give New Girl another chance. Jess gets less annoying and more funny and Schmidt, Nick and Winston are hilarious. Raising Hope is great! Loved the first series but missed the 2nd one when it began over here, so will have to watch out for repeats. Which shouldn't be too hard. I think Garrett Dillahunt is a great actor, but I had no idea he was so good at comedy until I watched Raising Hope. Oh, and I don't think all celebs are part of that plastic culture, I think a few are still uncorrupted, but yeah, most probably are. Where I live (Washington DC area), most people are all about power and status too (or at least it seems that way sometimes), so in a weird way, its like a microcosm of LA. So yeah, I get satire, I just figured this show glorified that lifestyle vs satirizing it. I've heard its actually loosely based on Mark Wahlberg's life and friends.
