hearing a tune on the radio for the first time.

a long time ago i was about to get out of the car and 'let the music do the talking' came on. i could not get out of the car,i was grabbed by the balls by the power and energy. i had not heard the tune prior so i wrote down the time of day and later called the radio station to find out who earlier had kicked my ass. the next day i was the proud owner of the joe perry project record. man, do i need therapy!

But...if anyone doesn't know ANY song they hear on classic rock radio, they've been living under a rock their entire lives. Then again, I suppose if someone younger liked their parents/grandparents music and were listening to a CR station, they likely wouldn't know who they were hearing. Catch 22 scenario, really. But you're spot on about the banter--ridiculous nonsense! T

Who gives a shit ? They get paid a ton of money and are so far up their own arses they can lick their own teeth. And they never tell you who the music is by when they do bother to play some.

The DJS think they're all that these days when in fact most come off like wanna be rock stars/comedians. Then they play all the same cr*p every day! T

My fav radio memory was when the local minite to 6am jock played 'Does It Feel Like Love' by Thunder at 3am in the morning back when the cd came out. I was on lunch break at work in the car and heard the tune. Of course he didn't say who it was--don't we all just LOVE that?! So I called long distance on the pay phone when I got back to work and he told me who it was. Got the cd soon after and the rest of their catalog since. Ahhh...the power of RADIO (post motem,of course). still think it wouldn't work today, all? Bullocks!
