Just listened to the free disc that comes with the mag. Really, if this is the best we have some big problems in this industry. Poor songs and awful 'organic' productions across the board. Do Classic Rock actually like this stuff? I assume they put songs on the disc by whoever will pay to have them on there, but it hardly reflects well. What is all the hype over Rival Sons - I must be missing something somewhere. Their albums of the year are also interesting - spot on with the Rush album being number one - but the rest is dubious. Not surprised that Nine by Circus Maximus is not in their top 50, but for me it is easily the best in a very moderate year for new music with Rush, Threshold, The Killers, Europe decent also rans.
