Also if the
> iPod is going to be like 6 inches from the radio
> would that matter? If not I have ihome speakers
> but the wires are a pain for the bus. I see they
> make one that is a little bigger but Bluetooth so
> that may work

None of them will give high quality sound as they are made for convenience when travelling, but the higher end / dearer ones should sound perfectly fine on a standard car stereo or portable radio.

As for distance from radio - they all vary but my Audiax will cover the whole house without interference on a clear frequency. I found the Belkin one had lousy coverage. Battery life also varies - my audiax will give approx 18 hours on a Duracell ultra or 12-14 on a duracell rechargeable.

Bear in mind if at work, electrical equipment may interfere..

I have seen the Audiax under different names, i have a second one that is branded icast (however in the battery compartment it shows it as a rebranded DGT-202). This is what the DGT-202 looks like photo

Steve

Stereo - doesnt drift at all. They sprog on spurious frequencies all up the dial.

It also depends what part of the country you are in (in UK anyway) - in London for example you will struggle to find a clear frequency with all the pirate radio stations clogging up the dial)

Steve
