Need one at work as my bus radio aux jack input died. I have mixed reviews on Amazon. What is the best one and ones any here had luck with. None of them will give high quality sound as they are made for convenience when travelling, but the higher end / dearer ones should sound perfectly fine on a standard car stereo or portable radio.

As for distance from radio - they all vary but my Audiax will cover the whole house without interference on a clear frequency. I found the Belkin one had lousy coverage. Battery life also varies - my audiax will give approx 18 hours on a Duracell ultra or 12-14 on a duracell rechargeable.

Bear in mind if at work, electrical equipment may interfere..

I have seen the Audiax under different names, i have a second one that is branded icast (however in the battery compartment it shows it as a rebranded DGT-202). This is what the DGT-202 looks like photo

Like with everything - it depends which one you buy.

I have a AudiaX DGT202 (cost me £22 just after Ofcom legalised them for use in the UK) and its superb. Stereo - doesnt drift at all. Drive from Walsall (just north of Birmingham) down to Plymouth wihtout any interference or having to change frequency at all.

The cheap chinese crap on ebay - I wouldnt touch with a bargepole. They sprog on spurious frequencies all up the dial.

It also depends what part of the country you are in (in UK anyway) - in London for example you will struggle to find a clear frequency with all the pirate radio stations clogging up the dial)
