Dante Fox / Electric Boys @ Wolvo Slade Rooms!

Really enjoyed Dante Fox tonight, probably the best i've ever seen them! They had gone for a heavier clutch of their catalogue in preperation for Hard Rock Hell on Friday.

Sue was on fire bar a few very minor boo boo's in the first song! One thing i've been told about the Fox's recent live shows by a few people has been they seem wooden and nervous on stage, especially Sue.....

errr....that wasn't the band that turned up tonight, they seemed so relaxed and seemed to really enjoy their time on stage. Sue was charming and funny and i've never seen her so at ease on stage, i have a lot of respect for Sue cause she suffers terribly with pre-gig nerves so everytime i see her perfrom almost flawlessly time after time it takes some really strength!

I can not expalin how great it is to finally hear my favourite Fox song 'I Can't Sleep' Live - Sue just absolutley shone singing this one. Newbie 'Who Stole The Innocence' and 'Firing My Heart' were two other big highlights for me. They only played for half hour, but it was all top qaulity stuff and i could have easily watched the band for the rest of the night!

Great to have the Fox back in the Black Country! Hope it's not so long before the next time!

If you're going to HRH this Friday, do yourself a favour and makes sure you don't miss their set!

It was a roaring success in Wolvo in comparison couple of hundred i'd guess at maybe slightly more....

The Slade Rooms is a decent small capacity venue - it can be re-aranged to acomadate crowds of 300 to 500. It ain't no Robin like, but for a small capacity venue it's pretty damn good.....

Woody

The set, the mix, the joking around onstage. Tim had said they were choosing a different set list to Firefest and now that the new album is getting about, more people would be comfortable with the new songs they included, especially with Sue on such form. It was also brilliant watching drummer Andy Perfect forced to play side on to the crowd, due to Electric Boys kit and a shallow stage - he's a bloody excellent showman on them there drums. I won't be at HRH, but they will go down very well on this form.

Must also give Liberty Lies a big shout - the openers have recently toured with Shinedown and are as tight as a gnat's chuff. Youngsters still to write their best stand out sing-a-long, they can certainly play and put on a show.

Electric Boys were the ultimate groove machine. Laid back riffs, some stunning leads and its awesome when a band plays around with the dynamics like this, taking the audience along with them.

A real mix of 3 rock styles on the night, but all really excellent and somehow complimented each other so well.
