Aerosmith- Out Go The Lights/Street Jesus:

I'm starting to slowly get on board with this new cd. It's half 70's Aero and half 80's/90's,mostly with all the ballads (which are mostly very strong,IMO-if a bit numerous). THe two tracks mentioned in my subject line--why are they SO expanded? Could have been really great tracks if they/Jack Douglas/ANYone would have yelled "CUT!!". Both those songs are in need of serious editing. Almost like they wanted the excessive 70's overkill to go along with the feel of the tracks. OK--I get that, but it does NOT serve the tunes well. At least not in this case. makes me tire of them before they start rambling.. Anyone else? I DO like both tracks, but they carry on a bit too long for my tastes. An example of an extended track by them that I truely enjoy is 'One Way Street' from the debut. Can't figure why that's not a huge one in their canon. What a great, raw rock n' roll song!! Oozes feel & swagger! T
