Led Zeppelin - Celebration Day

Surprised nobody has mentioned this. Picked up the 2 CD/1 Blu-ray version and really like it. There's still something magic about this band. I guess resisting to become a touring nostalgia circus like so many other geezer acts (Stones, Queen et al) plays a big part.

But Plant factually lost his high range MANY moons ago. Being drug/alchohol free now and for however many years doesn't matter an iota in his particular case. When you hammer your voice into submission like he did in those days,it ain't comin' back. And btw--the press conference they held for this release...when they were asked straightforward questions about some things, like a reunion tour,by the press--Plant acted like a beligerant arse. Like he was being insulted. Why not just state the fact that this was a one-off and meant to be only that. Maybe elaborate on the reason behind it,not skirt the question like it's a moronic idea. Bad attitude-calls the guy a 'schmuck' just for asking. Though it's kinda cool to see this release,I think Plant's head (and perhaps all three of them) is in the clouds with this 'holier than thou' take. JMO, T

The Stones for old f**kers still bring it. Queen...BM can still play and they are showcases other singers reliving great songs. I know Robert says he can't sing as he used to...sure but a tour with a lot of breaks and some backup vocalists on stage will help him thru. Just watching the song on youtube got me pumped. Also I think since they still get radio play none of them are hurting for money but if this DVD does well don't be surprised.....
