Well, I guess you have some really skilfull pub players in England but I find that unlikely as he made some of your "best" look ridiculous last night. ;-)

He's made some absolutely amazing goals and performances against some of the best opponents in the world (like in Champions League and the Euros, World Cup). He can be really bad sometimes but it's the top performances that set him apart from most players in the world.

Yes it is your opinion and I think you're in the minority....as it seems the rest of the world is acknowledging his talent and in this matter I don't see it as a matter of opinion.

What one thinks of him as a person is a whole other deal.

It must've been one of the 30 matches he didn't score for Inter, out of the 88 he played. ;-)

Seriously, I've seen ALL players being useless once in a while. Christiano Ronaldo being one of those highly praised football players who can look totally uninterested and not do one thing right on the pitch for 90 minutes....but I believe it's hard to deny his
capabilities.

I even saw Maradona in very bad performances.

His first goal last night was well taken, although there was a foul to England in the build up, but he only came good for Sweden when Gerrard, Johnson & Culker went off with 14 minutes left and the 3 replacements should have been watching on TV back in Blighty.
