Anastacia has released a new album of cover songs (seems to be a trend among artists lately). I was first turned on to her when I heard One Day In Your Life on the radio years ago. I immediately fell in love with her voice which reminded me somewhat of Taylor Dayne. I then found that album and fell in love with her. WOW! Anyways... the album consists of the following tracks: 1. Ramble On (Led Zeppelin) 2. Best Of You (Foo Fighters) 3. Sweet Child Of Mine (Guns N Roses) 4. You Can't Always Get What You Want (The Rolling Stones) 5. One (U2) 6. Back In Black (AC/DC) 7. Dream On (Aerosmith) 8. Use Somebody (Kings Of Leon) 9. You Give Love A Bad Name (Bon Jovi) 10. Wonderwall (Oasis) For the most part she knocks it out of the park. Now granted, you have to be a fan of her voice. The shocker for me has to be Bon Jovi's song which she absolutely nails. The only song I think doesn't really work is AC/DC's. The Issa covers album on the other hand... while the guitar could still be up in the mix a bit, this is a great album.
