The Who

Saw The WHO last night at the Verizon Center in Washington DC... Gotta give due props to Townsend and Daltry, now late 60's rockers who are still "bringing it" all these years later. Thank God for all the bands out there still touring and making music. I hope some of our favorite bands can hang in there for even half as long as these guys have, doing what they do best. Cheers!

They are still consistent and good sounding these days. But I still love watching their early 90s show with Simon Phillips on drums. That lineup is still kickin ass :)

Talk about your James Brown meets Van Halen with a heavy 70's retro-blues-combo thing going on! (That's about the best description I could give.) Never heard them before last night, but they were STELLAR live and really did a good job warming up the crowd. After the last song they had everyone on their feet. Not crazy about the band name though.... Maybe just call it VT, like VH with a different logo...(Kidding.)

I'll be seeing Alice Cooper next week, and BOC just a week later (for my 30th time?). I have fond memories of seeing The Who perform an incredible set at the benefit concert for victims of 9/11. A few years later I saw them perform in Las Vegas - a performance I still have on CD and DVD thanks to Music.com.

See 'em while you can, folks - our heroes will be gone before you know it.
