Just catching up with frontpage news (Wed 07th) reading Jorn Lande has left MASTERPLAN again! Did I miss this announcement because I was quietly anticipating another Jorn fronted Masterplan next year!? Him leaving Masterplan doesn't bother me for one second actually, because that leaves room for him doing other things and perhaps he could get it 100% right sometime soon.

Tme To Be A King was a monster of a letdown and I haven't listened to it once since I first put it away.

Spirit Black was a step in the right direction, agreed, and I think Bring Heavy Rock has the obligatory 2-3 excellent songs....even if everything is sounding way too similar on the latest albums.

He needs to go in a more melodic direction, no doubt.

Don't get me wrong, he is a good singer, but not as good as Jorn. And: He sings in numerous other bands (AT VANCE, THUNDERSTONE...). So I don't think that MASTERPLAN will be his first and only priority.

I would have prefered if they got Bjørn Jansson - ex-RIDE THE SKY. Regardless I hadn't realized he'd left Masterplan and gotta say I find that VERY disappointing TTBK was a decent second start I think another could have been quite something!?

Funnily enough, I was listening to Millennium - Hourglass yesterday for the first time in ages. Mammoth album, and Jorn really makes it, for me. The title track and 'Chasing Time' are brilliant.

Maybe he should hook up with those guys again?
