All vocals / music should be live. That's what defines a great band or a band that knows how to use a recording studio.

For me its acceptable for backing singers to be taped, or even some guitar parts if the original recording used say a 2nd guitarist who isn't present in the live setup. However, the musicians on stage have to be playing their instruments and singing.

On the other hand, saw Crue last year who met the above criteria and would gladly have accepted all of them being taped........... (well Tommi was ok)
