I know this lot can be quite divisive and with good reason as their output is patchy. I was just listening to their new EP with a load of live tracks and was wondering about their backing vocals. To these ears they seem way too perfect to be live and I'd like to know if anyone who has seen them reckons they're using backing tapes? I did consider the BV's could have been touched up in the studio, but a quick look at YOUTube live clips highlights the same thing. Personally I'm still trying to make my mind up about these guys, but their live acoustic version of The Boys Are Back In Town on this new release is absolutely hideous!! Don't think the drums is nit picking, to me backing vocals are an integral part of a bands sound and just because they contain the word backing doesn't make them less important. As someone said previously - live should mean live because that shows how good a band really is, and in this day and age any group of overly preened puppets can be made to sound good on tape.
