Jeff Lynne - Mr Blue Sky

I finally got to see this last night and was blown away. I've never seen as modest a fellow, with his accomplishments. And his home is incredible. I wish he was as recognized as his peers, though he seems not at all bothered by it. Been a fan of his music for a long time, and this documentary reveals Jeff to be an even more likable fellow. Well done !

Apart from Jeff's "Video" song from the Electric Dreams soundtrack, I haven't got any of his solo stuff. Can anyone please give me a point of reference for his "Armchair Theatre" album?

Not sure I can see getting this even tho it's a re-recording/up to date production of the old ELO tunes. They sounded pretty damn good back then. And I've mentioned not being overjoyed with Lynne's latest production works. Even his ELO-Zoom cd was muddy. not sure why he's been on this trend--weird. Maybe he has KevinShirleyitis.. ;-) T

Was this initially intended to be as per JOURNEY, FOREIGNER, KISS etc and other bands in recent times...new CD and bonus disc of re-records as a package? Hmmmm. Perhaps his star is bigger than we thought, and there is the interest to have this released separately.

They were playing the re-records in HMV today..sounded great.
