Rock Of Ages - Finally saw it....

I just came back from a business trip and this movie was on the menu... Well, if I weren't a fan of the genre I would say it sucked big time. The acting is actually rather bad with tons of cliches. It certainly will not do any good to the genre. This said, I enjoyed some of the characters (lead female, Alec Baldwin). The music was actually much better than expected. If the actors really sang, for the most part they did a good job. I liked the way some songs were mixed together. The story is really bad though, and overall it is no wonder it flopped.

This is the kind of movie I could watch on a rainy Sunday afternoon with a nice cup of tea.... and only because I can relive part of my youth! :-)

Cheese factor made it unbearable. I mean, I'm from Iowa in the middle of red-neck lowlife country and I still thought it was dumb.

The acting was terrible. The 2 leads were horrid. I had to turn it off 3/4 of the way through. I couldn't stand it any longer.

My daughter had to teach it to her students last year...I should have got a credit in their results with the amount of background info I gave her !
