I just came back from a business trip and this movie was on the menu... Well, if I weren't a fan of the genre I would say it sucked big time. The acting is actually rather bad with tons of cliches. It certainly will not do any good to the genre. This said, I enjoyed some of the characters (lead female, Alec Baldwin). The music was actually much better than expected. If the actors really sang, for the most part they did a good job. I liked the way some songs were mixed together. The story is really bad though, and overall it is no wonder it flopped.
