Nickelback/daughtry Newcastle

Travelled over to Newcastle from Belfast for this gig and hands down one of the best gigs I have attended ever.

I saw daughtry a few months ago in the US and was really impressed - a very tight professional outfit and they did not disappoint last night either.

Great set list and the crowd seemed to really enjoy it.

Nickelback get a hard time from many quarters probably because they are very successful as evidenced by the near sell out arena tour. Their last album has been the weakest for years but it still has some great tracks.

As a live band - brilliant.

Saw them in Belfast a few years ago but even since then they have grown as a band. Chad as a frontman interacted brilliantly with the audience but most importantly he can really sing live. Very impressed.

Rest of the band seemed to actually want to be on stage and enjoy themselves providing great musical and backing vocal support.

Only gripe is a few more of the rockers could have been added to set list but minor gripe tbh.

Even if you are not a great fan of their music go see them live as they will impress with their good time rock and roll show.

In fact "this means war" is one of my favourite Nickelback tracks. I am a fan so even their weakest album still streets ahead of most music out there lol.

Love the rockers and ballads on 'Here and Now' and I've found it to be one of the most consistent Nickelback albums for my tastes.

Anyway, with you all on them live. Great stage presence and performances.

Chad's voice was really on top form. I agree about more rockers should be in the set list and that Here & Now is one of their weaker albums, but for a weak Nickelback album it still has 4-5 outstanding tracks and the rest are good.
