IMHO her version of Alone was too slow and lacking the dynamics of the original. That is not taking away anything from her voice. It is more a comment on the arrangement. I have heard an acoustic version by Heart too and to be honest prefer that over Floor's too - still prefer the original though.

I think Floor Jansen will be really good in Nightwish. She has the looks, swagger and above all vocal chops to pull that gig off really well. I wish her well. I think Nightwish will be a far better vehicle for her talents than her previous band, who were good musicians but the songs I checked out were pretty lacklustre to these ears.

I also wish Annette Olzon well for the future. Wow...she's certainly got the pipes. I'd say this tour will be the testing ground for her...if she gets along with the band, she'll be the new permanent singer for Nightwish.
