I've not bought this, I heard the mix and couldn't believe my ears! How Harris and Kevin Shirley thought this was even remotely acceptable was beyond me. Perhaps this is the best they could do with what was on tape. Anyway..there are some good songs, had they been recorded/mixed right. So here's the question: Has a new version just been issued with alternative mixes? My mate said he saw it yesterday on CD with label saying something like "encoded link to 2 full Kevin Shirley MP3 versions for enhanced listening pleasure". Meanwhile the 2nd MP3 version are only 'louder' version (EQ'd 2dB, according to the booklet).
It's such a shame about the mix/recording, cos there are some good songs on the album... "Eyes of the Young" is actually one of the best 'AOR' tracks I've heard this year... very melodic!
