I don't know whether this is a new album, or whether it was recorded several years ago and only recently released. To be honest, I did not recognize Mitch's voice. There is a strong pomp-rock touch to the music, not unsimilar to Departure's. Whilst the musicianship is not at fault, after a few spins only, I find the songs easily forgettable. Malloy's voice is borderline irritating and I find him a bit monotonous. I bought it mainly just because I'm such a huge fan and just always wanted to hear the older stuff.

I have his country demo cd too, so now the only Malloy stuff I need to get my hands on are the Van Halen demos.
