Well, I have finally got to listen to this little monster over the weekend on a couple of long car drives and I must say it DOES live up to the hype. Found myself grinning like an idiot. Really, really god! Big expectation, initial joy but nothing lasting to bring me back time and time again. I'm a huge fan of both bands as well.

I often need the promise of a tour to really push on with a CD or else something often comes and nudges then aside and it doesn't look like either HEAT or Eclipse will be in the UK anytime soon.

The exact same thing with the latest H.E.A.T. album. I hear it, and understand the excitement and positive reviews/comments but I grow tired of it way too quickly.

It didn't used to be like this for me. :-(

Jack Ponti was NEVER this good....he doesn't come close To Erik. On the other hand, I am finding the new Richie Sambora a real disappointment. Maybe my expectations were just too high for this release, but for the most part I find the songs and production very dull.
