Boston recap from Milwaukee

The new outdoor venue on the Milwaukee Summerfest grounds is amazing
Catch a show there if you can
Right on the Lakw Michigan shoreline in the shodow of the Marcus Amphlitheater
Seating and sightlines great
Soundwise the vocals and guitars were excellent but the sounds of the drums need work.....sounded like he was hitting wet boxes a lot with no great snap in the snare and kick was way too quiet

Greatest Hits setlist below meant most people heard what they came for

I would bet they were only 50-60%capacity and they even were pushing agroupon the 48 hours before ths show. Tome said something to the effect that they dont get out much anymore and I would bet that and lack of new music had an impact. Also the Wisconsin State Fair is going on just minutes down the road plus Lollapalooza just down the roan in Chicago may have drawn away some music fans. T=Shirts 40 bucks...get them on the Boston sight for about half that.

All in all if you like Boston you should love the show

1. Rock & Roll Band

2. Smokin'

3. Feelin' Satisfied

4. Peace of Mind

5. Cool the Engines

Re: Decarlo Interview

I seen that article posted to Facebook tonight. After reading it, I was even MORE Gutted about missing that Boston concert on Friday. I missed it because I ran out of time to make the 6-hr drive and be there on time. Boston was listed was listed as starting at 7:30pm. Had it started later in the night, I could have still made it.
Well, after reading that article, I found out that Starship opened that show, which means Boston started later. Had it been listed ANYWHERE that Starship was on at 7:30pm, I still could have made that show in time to catch Boston at perhaps 9pm or 9:30pm...whenever Starship finished an Boston got set up to start. But NOWHERE was an opening act listed!
At this point, all I can say is....even after weeks of planning, I guess it wasn't meant to be. However, I want to give a public THANK YOU to a gentleman named David Victor for putting me on the Guest List. Even if I missd that show, David did me a solid on that one! Thank you, David!!!

I was even put on the Guest List with backstage passes included. But too many unpreventable things got in the way and we were not able to leave on time to make the 6-hr journey and get there by showtime. Man, what a total loss of seeing one of my all-time favorite bands. I was BROKEN in my mind and gut all day and into the evening, now knowing that I would miss it. Thank GOD today is a new day and I can finally "move on".
