Hugo's Time On Earth

Great news. Hugo's Time On Earth finally made a U.S.debut. It is great news because many MHR titles are marked IMPORT and fans have to pay extra money.
Thanks to U.S. debut the album's Amazon com ranking surged from 170,000 to 36,000. In no time it will catch up to Guildersleeves and Eye of The Storm.

Good trend.

Regards

On the other hand, I have to say that I think 'Time On Earth' is a pile of pants! Decidedly weak when you think of what this guy is capable of. But, hey....that's just my opinion!

If you see both reviews you may think I have split personality...Not actually.

You need to write Amazon review with caution particularly when the artist is not well known because the review is the only practical information for Amazon com users. But this melodicrock com. I can say my honest opinion because most of the viewers are connosairs.

Back to favorite tracks, Tell It To My Heart is the most faorite track FINE and Last One More Time, Blues For You follows.

Best regards

Susumu

My favs off of those would have to be A Tear In LA
and Without You...which to me, is one of the BEST songs...ever, would be on my
list anyways. Yeah, he does sound a lot like Perry, his looks...well, he ain't hard on the eyes at all, would love to see if he could pull this off live tho...studio is one
thing...LIVE is totally different. That was one thing that always impressed me bout Journey was when ya went to hear them in concert, they sounded just like they did on the records...whoops, cds. BIG Journey/Perry fan here...and HUGE Jimi
Jamison fan...shameless promotion here: http://members.aol.com/cbattista/Survivor/jimijamison.htm changing some things around on there, gettin ready to add my links page again, which will have a ton of
Journey links..;-) .....what was I sayin....Anyway....(insert whooa's here!)

RE: Fave Hugo track(s)...

Yeah, "Time on Earth" is a pretty cool album alright. IMO, of all the Perry clones and sound-alikes, this guy wins the prize for being the closest resemblance. It's uncanny and downright frightening at times. I consider myself to be a pretty big Journey/Perry fan, and I have been since '81. Those people who say they can detect significant differences in the two guys' voices impress the h*ll out of me, 'cuz I know I certainly can't.

I think my fave tracks would have to be "Tell it to My Heart," "I Will Be Waiting," and "Last One More Time" (as many of the board's regulars know, I'm a sucker for a ballad. And that thing that starts with a "whoa-oah..." he does fairly close to the end of the song, where his voice really soars, gives me goosebumps). "Anyone in Love" would be close behind those other three tracks. It reminds me of Perry's "Street Talk" material. He does a super rendition of Triumph's "Magic Power" too, but I still think I prefer the original over his version (slightly). I have to admit, when I heard this album (and was reminded of Journey's heyday) I thought a lot about how great it would be to be able to hear stuff like this on the radio again. I'm not holdin' my breath, though. Take care.
Don
