Hi all,
Someone - forgive me for not remembering - posted a lovely list of Journey songs others had covered. Can that list be posted ocne again and / or added to?
Thought I would do my best to track down the tunes I don't already have.

PS. Get the Jorn lande version of Edge Of The Blade!! Huge :)

Regards,
Andrew.

RE: Journey Cover tunes...

And I'm one of them Paul! There's a guy named Wade that sings in a band around my city that can sound really close to Steve Perry. They do "Don't Stop Believin, Any Way You Want It, and When You Love A Woman. Anytime I'm getting antsy to see some live Journey, I find out where they are playing and I go. It's pretty much the same difference as far as I'm concerned.

At least Steve Perry does not want to be in the band though, so I can't blame them for touring with a new singer. I wouldn't want to stop my career just because another band member wants to stop his. Personally though I will have a hard time getting used to someone else singing the songs. It's just not who my memories are with.

I gave the new Journey a chance and downloaded the new stuff from Napster. Augeri is definately a great singer but most of the songs didn't do a thing for me. Too many ballads and they all started sounding alike after a while. It was like one big long song.

Of course there are those that would say Journey is now a covers' band without Steve Perry!
