The Album

The Jabberwocky album is the new and extravagant project from Clive Nolan and Oliver Wakeman. In addition to their special brand of keyboard playing Jabberwocky boasts a distinguished line up:

Tracy Hitchings (Landmarq, Strangers on a Train)
James Plumridge (Currently on stage in the West End)
Paul Allison (ex Sleepwalker)
Guitars: Pete Banks (ex Yes)
Ian Salmon (Shadowland)
Jon Jeary (Threshold)
Bass: Peter Gee (Pendragon)
Drums: Tony Fernandez (Rick Wakeman Band)

As well as this there are vocal appearances from many other respected musicians as well as narration provided by the one and only Rick Wakeman.
Jabberwocky is an album, which bridges across the power and the glory of symphonic rock into the immediacy and infectious nature of the musical. There is also the eye-catching artwork of the renowned Rodney Matthews, with his almost 'fairy tale' vision of the Jabberwocky. This underlying humour runs through both the visual and the aural elements of the album making it a most unusual and memorable CD.

Already the demand is there to take the Jabberwocky out live, and rumours of performances from England to America are already rife. We fully expect the roar ofthe Jabberwocky to be heard across the world.

The Writers
Clive and Oliver met up about three years ago, and it was obvious from the start that they would work together. The Jabberwocky is the result of their first collaboration.
Clive Nolan is well respected in the world of 'progressive symphonic' rock world for some time now. His part in bands such as Arena, Pendragon, Shadowland and Strangers On A Train is well known and enjoyed by fans world wide. With an extensive list of production and session credits, Clive was extremely well suited to partake in a project like Jabberwocky.
Oliver Wakeman came into view last year with his debut solo album 'Heaven's Isle', following very much in the music style of his father, Rick. This idiomatic approach to keyboard playing and song writing, combined with his experience on the live circuit has provided the ideal compliment to this team.

The Producers
Clive Nolan and Karl Groom have been producing albums in their 'Thin Ice' studio for most of the 90's. Bands such as Threshold, Landmarq, Shadowland, Arena, Strangers on a Tram, Casino, Twelfth Night, Obsessed With Voodoo, Moria Falls and Bandicoot have all passed through, and caught a little of the 'Thin Ice' magic. Jabberwocky represents yet another milestone for the creative abilities of Nolan and Groom.

Yes there was a project a couple of years ago that did feature Bob Catley. I think Bob did one song and it was put together by Rick Wakeman's son, Adam. Apart from that I can't remember much about it.
