Black 'n Blue

I have posted about this great hair band in the past and have only been disappointed to learn that there is no plans to reissue their collection. While I have their most recent live release, I "need" the studio discs. I have searched literally hundreds of used cd stores over the past decade in hopes of stumbling onto a "reasonably priced" copy of any of their 80's era cds without luck. It would appear that the only way to track them down is to pay ridiculous prices to GEMM which I refuse to do since the gross mark-up goes to them and not the band.

I have tried burning my cassettes to cd but quite frankly, it sounds like crap. Therefore, I am left with no alternative but to appeal to any other B 'n B fan out there who was lucky enough to stumble across copies of S/T, Nasty Nasty, In Heat or Without Love to e-mail me about the possibility of a CDR.

Having said that, if anyone has more information about where to buy these CD's without having to take out a second mortgage OR if there is any word on pending re-issues, I would greatly appreciate that as well.

RE: Black 'n Blue

Hey Dudes! I recently spoke to guitarist Tommy Thayer from Black N Blue and
he tells me they will definitely be coming out on CD as soon as he is able to get
the rights to the master tapes from Geffen Records. For sure in the next 2 or 3
years at most. I have the Japanese cds which came out in 1994 and they sound
excellent! If you find them on GEMM or Ebay you will pay hundreds of dollars for
the Japanese imports. One went for $1,200 dollars on Ebay recently! I think it
was "Without Love". Their best album in my opinion! I was at the recording of
the "One Night Only-Live" CD here in Portland, Oregon USA back in 1997 and
what a great show it was. Hung out with all the guys after the show and met
producer Pat Regan who was at the sound board mixing the show. Marc Ferarri,
Dan Reed and many other famous rockers were in attendance that night. I highly
recommend the the live CD and the sound quality is excellent! I picked it up
at Tower Records the day it was released. Hang in there and those albums will
be re-issued on CD soon......Black N Blue Rocks!
