Hello Carl,

Sometimes some posts fall through the cracks, sorry. I try to respond to as many as possible either through responding posts or email. As for your post, well im sorry but i am not familar with their material. Also, you are free to have your opionon on who you like better. If you feelt this band is better than SHANG HAI, thats fine. I support all AOR. Thank you for your comments and I might just take your advice and look into this band BLACK BAMBI.

Just curious, is it because I said Black Bambi were world class yet did not heap

As for your questions, no we wernt responsible for the re-release of KEELS "THE RIGHT TO ROCK" , We would enjoy the possiblitie of doing a new BLUE TEARS album. Rereleases/Signings

Some great rereleases of older albums would be Streets two albums and Glen Burtnick's albums. Didn't you rerelease Keel? That is great, as well.

A great band to sign would be Blue Tears. I heard it rumored they are working on a new album, so maybe they already have been signed. Gregg Fulkerson is one of the greatest songwriters ever!!

This was actually released on vinyl on the MANHATTAN label which was a Division of CAPITAL.
It was released in 1985 Titled " Cast the First Stone " Its excellent melodic Aor with killer songs. Its very much in the same style as their other release called" Thinking Out Loud " this was released on the same label around 1987.Another Aor Gem

I can send you a CDR of it and you can make your own judgement. But it was be awesome if you guys could get to release it onto CD maybe with a few unreleased trax etc................

Ever the contrarian, I would not mind a $20 2-for-1. If the originals were LPs, 74 minutes may be enough time to squeeze both onto one disc. Of course, if any unpublished "b-sides" that the fans would also like to see included ....

WOW, You ask for input and you get it! I was hoping for a wider selection of topics, but the people have spoken. Now to address this issue , we would like to re-release both albums and we are looking into the possiblities on it. You see both albums were originally released on three differant labels. We need to research the old contracts and find out if we have a leagl right to re-release these recordings. If someone still retains the rights we may have a problem. This is probably also why MTM hasnt released the album of FIORE that one of you mentioned. But fear not, we have yet to disappoint our fans and customers. I too love both albums very much and would like both of them to see the light of day again with bonus tracks of course! Question to you all now, wopuld any of you like to see a live album from TDF performing songs from UNRELEASED and WORLD ON FIRE? PLEASE LET US KNOW! As always....THANK YOU!!!

PREVIEW -preview 1983 ( Geffen records with John Fiore.) Why this one have never see the light of day on cd are for me a mysterie.One of my 20 best Aor album of all time.It look that MTM who have mr Fiore in their label,dont bother to release this aor gem.WHY???

One I would like to see released is the Black Bambi album. This was recorded for East West records in 1991 ( approx ) and was produced by Beau Hill. Musically
it is a hybrid of Dokken, Shark Island and Winger and is absolutely amazing.
The songs, playing and production are fantastic. The sad thing is the album was
given a serial number but shelved at the very last minute and has never seen the light of day. This is criminal when stuff like Shanghai ( good for waht it is )etc etc does get picked up and released, and really world class albums like the Black Bambi get lost.
I defy anyone who has heard the Black Bambi not to agree with me.
I guess the problem with this one getting a release could be the fact it was recorded for a major label and there may be difficulty getting it liscensed.
Here's hoping.

I also believe it would be wrong to issue the 2 Tour De Force cd's as a best of.
They are both great albums and should not be interfered with, and anyway they are totally different sounding records so a compilation could only ruin the catalogue by nature of the fact that some tracks will have to be missed out.

I got Tour De Force's World On Fire record and all the tracks (16) on that album ROCK!!! It would be a shame to cut out some of them!!!!!!

I second this -- I would rather pay for two complete (even if limited release) discs than a compilation -- and others I have talked to about TDF seem to agree.

Hey I second that also, Tour De Force is by far the cd cover of the year!!

I love eveything that I have gotten from you guys.

Yes if possible PLEASE re-release the Tour De Force ST and World on Fire, they rock!! I would prefer seperate cd's to one comp. cd though. For some reason on comp. cd's the songs I like are always left out.

Keep up the good work and I am REALLY looking forward to what you will be releasing next.

the only advice i can give ya about cd art is always include a picture of the band i hate it when i get a cd of a new band with no pic of them. Lyrics are cool too

I proudly own all the Kivel cds & think the quality is great. I love all the artwork (except perhaps Shanghai)...

Just received the Tour de Force & love it...can't wait for the Jamie Rowe thing!!!
Actually I can't wait for Smilek either as I have about 5-6 demos on tape & they sound great (I hope they all make the cut!!!...is there a track listing yet??)

One band I would love to see you (re)release is an indie band from your parts called Surrender (the album came out in 91 or so)...it is a closet pomp classic... I know most collectors would sell their wives/girlfriends for this one (at least the male collectors ha ha)

Expect Three new albums by NOV , ADRIANGALE, SMILEK, and BRAD L'NART ! Also keep an eye out for some more surprises soon! The new year is coming and we are gearing alot of our bands for thier follow ups! So buckle in folks and get ready! Also, please keep up the posts. you guys are doin a great job, i have the attraction and shanghai cds and they are both excellent. More bands like this would be great . You should try to sign skyhigh they are an excellent band. From what ive read im gonna enjoy the smilek cd too as soon as it comes out. keep up the good work..

Is there any talk of reissuing the two previously released Tour De Force CDs? (Unreleased is incredible stuff!). I am sure they would be solid sellers. I did notice that James Christian and Jeff Cannata have produced a couple of Kivel discs -- any chance of getting them to work together again as performers (as they did in Jasper Wrath, Arcangel, etc.)? A hard pomp CD by them would be cool!

Im glad to hear that you like the GET UP n SHAKE boys! To answer your question, YES there will be a new release. The album is titled DOWNTOWN SHUFFLE and the band will commence work on it very soon. We also have plans for a live cd that will contain material from both albums. The only question i have is when are you going to check out our other releases!?!!?! Hello Melodic rockers!

I would first like to say thank you to Melodic rock.com and all of it's fans!
