Journey's "Arrival" pushed to Feb 2001

According to a guy from record company which distributes Journey in Japan, Arrival will be released in Japan around October 18, despite five-month delay in U.S. market.

In our local store it says September 20. Five month delay is too much enough to lose trust from music industry in Japan. When the album is ready are there any music labels remain to take care of them? It is not only their issue. Many of the similar sounding artists will lose chances to debut in Japan.

I don't want to speculate, but I doubt if the CD will ever get released. At least, not under the Journey name.

funny.................BEST one I have heard all week! .............BUT, I hope it is released soon. I enjoy listening to the product that i have heard. Did I read somewhere earlier that there were more songs that were added to Napster?

The delay seems pretty serious guys. Kev said something about it and on the Journey site their webmaster says that the band has its reasons or something along those lines. I hope its a joke, but I don't think so. Lets just hope for a flat out rocking Journey album!!

I think the feb bit is a joke from Kevin Shirley. My Sony guy says its been pushed back, but only to October 24 as to not compete with some other releases that day.

I'm with you. They're my favorite band too but this is bull shit! I'm over this whole deal. I don't even play well yet but I'm convinced I could get my own record out quicker. I say screw'm. Go out and buy Hugo and Two Fires. At least we know they'll put some quality out once a decade. I'm still PISSED!

They already added 2-3 uptempo songs to the Napster version.

They had better release something before February. We've heard about a new CD for 2.5 years. It's getting very stale.

To anyone I argued with about downloading from Napster - I apologize! You were the smart ones to get while you could - because that thing is never gonna be released. Perhaps it was leaked on purpose for Beta reasons. When I'm wrong - I'm wrong.

It's tough when you have to criticize your favorite band - but the time is due.

I hope they are doing something to save that cd. I downloaded it all from Napster and it has a few good ballads but there is no balls at all. I think they should completely replace about 7 of the 11 songs that I heard. It was really all starting to sound the same after a while.

Per Kevin Shirley's website, Arrival has been moved back to Febuary 2001. Perhaps they are shuffling the tracks? Maybe even adding a few more rockers??
