2)Halford - Resurrection (One of the Best Judus Priest CD's ever)
3)Aqua - Aquarius (I know this is a pop dance cd but every song on this
CD is a masterpiece, with massive production & super great
songs)
4)Jim Peterik - (All I can say is this CD is truly a masterpiece)
5)Wonderland - "End of Bliss" - Great Cheap Trick influenced CD
6) Kharma - "Wonderland" Fantastic CD.

He's gotten much better each time I have seen him. His stage presence was best on the new songs from last tour--obviously because he didn't have to compare with Perry on those--so he should be right at home this time out now that he actually has a cd to call his own.

The album is quite diverse actually, there is something for everyone, from softer ballad-type songs to hard rockin' songs like "In your head"

It does take a few listens to get into, however....but when you get into it it is a great album!

"Right Attitude" actually consists of songs from their "Heroes" album which was only released in Japan, and a new batch of songs

It is more AOR than hard rock so it is more polished and smooth than "The State of Rock"

If you ask me "Right Attitude" is a much better album and I believe it's one of 5 best AOR albums of ALL TIME

well....I should suggest taking a listen to either the 2nd half of the Escape cd, parts of the Departure cd or something like "Edge of the Blade" from the Frontiers cd. Note: Edge of the Blade....yea, it's the same one that is on the new Jorn Starfire cd.
For that matter, something like "I Can See It In Your Eyes" from the Japanese version of Trial By Fire was heavier than anything they had done since the Frontiers cd.



Whilst other bands are out there copying, House of SHakira are one of the most original in the scene. Kudos to Mats and Anders!!


Agreed there.....they definitely sound unique and are most definitely the better for it. Easily one of the best new bands out there.

I think the John Taglieri is quite good...as well as Brian Mcdonald...super smooth Leppardish AOR! Yeah!!!

But I can't agree about Mars Electric...there was so much hype about this album but it's no wonder the band aren't breaking any new ground...if you want to bring "back" melodic hard rock (which I hope never happens as the major labels ruin any music they get their hands on), you must have some "personality" to the band/music....someone who can command a big following

For example people like Steve Perry and Rick Springfield who were not only great musicians but also very charismatic and were able to draw a large audience based on their "personality"

Until that happens...I am very content listening to the many quality AOR releases from the independent European labels...Portrait has yet to release anything of any merit
