Bon Jovi opening band

Just read that they will have a band called Toploader as support here in Sweden. Who the fuck are they? Never heard of them...
At least they have Andreas Johnsson as support in England. Andreas is a swedish artist that had a hit some months ago.

At least Satus Quo take on a good support band when they tour, who can rember seeing them with Honeymoon Suite etc..etc..?

RE: Bon Jovi opening band/Ireland

I hear what you're saying about TEN Kieran. They really do need to get to the next level. Perhaps Mark Ashton will post to tell us why that isn't happening?

However, TOPLOADER are a GREAT BAND! I think you should turn up early enough to catch them, you might be surprised. I also happen to think that the BON JOVI slot is perfect for them. They will be playing to the right audience to increase their profile dramatically and that is partly because BON JOVI draw such a wide audience and not just a rock audience anymore.

Can you imagine what Jon Bon would say though when he heard 'After The Love Has Gone' and ' Don't Cry' though. He'd probably sue them and take back his riffs!!

RE: Bon Jovi opening band

TOPLOADER have had two hit singles here in England this summer. 'Dancin' in the moonlight' (not the LIZZY one!), which is very much in the NEW RADICALS mould and 'Achilles Heel' which is quite reminiscent of 70's AEROSMITH. Their debut album 'Onka's big mocka' (!) has sold really well and is just about to be re-issued with bonus tracks.

They're a great band. Not heavy rock but with elements of REEF, AEROSMITH, LENNY KRAVITZ and even STEVIE WONDER. I haven't seen them live but I think you should get there early enough to check them out.

Apart from 'Glorious' Andreas Johnson has failed to get into the UK top 40 I'm afraid. Must admit I wasn't too impressed with his latest album when I heard it. There was another guy I was really impressed by a few years ago called SIMON ROWE who was signed to a Swedish label. What happened to him?
