I would like to know if anyone can give me an idea on Impulse Music in the USA. I ordered a SUBSTANTIAL amount of CD's from them about 7 weeks ago and apart from an order confirmation (and after sending them repeated emails) I have no response and no CD's. I'll be ringing them tomorrow but would like to know what sort of people I'm dealing with here. I am starting to wonder whether I'll get them at all. I'd also be interested if people have got CD's from them what the turnaround time was. Good Luck with your problem. My suggestion is that you take it up with them, they are very reasonable people, and they are in business to sell music after all, I'm sure they want to continue to do business with you as much as you want to get your order.

Can't say the same for a lot of the other listed, Hot-Tracks took forever to send me a cd about a month or so after it was confirmed in stock.

It seems like overall Impulse is no better or worse I am sure my order just got lost in the shuffle at Hot-Tracks I am sure I will order from them again. So I don't hold it against them.

I am sure that almost everyone has had a bad experience at one place or another. Usually they are more than happy to make the situation right.

My 2 cents for what its worth.....

I ordered three CDs from them once, they arrived one by one, with notices saying the rest were back ordered. The first arrived 2 months later, the second 3, and the third four months after the order.

I haven't used them since, not because I'm pissed or anything, it's just that the waiting drives me berserk and I end up killing all the people around me.

I would like to add that Impulse also has a truly amazing selection.

I forgot to mention that by far the slowest vendor out there is A&B Sound. I have waited as long as 6 weeks with them. The rub is that A&B also have the cheapest prices ...

For Jim/HT, my last order form yall took more than two weeks from order to ship date. I had an order in May which took a similar amount of time. I do not put it past myself to have ordered out of stock merchandise on both occasions. My two Hot Track experience will not in any way prevent me from ordering again (and again). BTW, thanks for the new lower prices :)

Most of our orders take a maximum of 2 weeks for delivery and we have
recently beefed up our stock situation and many orders go out within a week
or less. Our prices also cannot be beat along with great customer service, as
we answer every e-mail and question any customer has concerning our company within 24 hours or less.

Only they charge your credit card before they get your CD's. I had a real run-in with those bastards. They charged me like $35 for one CD and waited four months to send it to me. By the time I got it, you could buy the CD elsewhere for $17.
Dream Disc is the best place I have dealt with. Every once in a while they have trouble getting in a certain title. But usually they are pretty quick. Yeah a while back I ordered an Impellitteri cd from them and I waited and waited. I called and they said it was on order and they would send as soon as they got it. After about 2 months of waiting I called and cancelled my order. About 1 month later I find the cd that I cancelled sitting in my mail box and a charge to my card. Needless to say I had to go off on these people about this and finally got the matter taken care of. I would stay away from these people at all costs. There are alot better places to get your cds from. By far the best that I've tried has been NEH Records. They have the most helpful and professional people helping you, and everytime I've ordered from them they have had the cds in stock. They tell you up front if its in stock also. If I order a cd from them on say Monday I'll have it by no later than Thursday or Friday depending on how they ship it. Also try Dream Disc. They have a very good selection and also tell you up front if they have the item your looking for in stock. I hope this helps.
