HIM

That is the name of the band enbedded in my memory while I enjoy discussing MHR topics with Europian posters. I searched Amazon com and one of the reviewers described their rock style as combination of Survivor(eye of the tiger) and Motley Crue(girls girls girls). If that is so, they may be close to Night Ranger, Steelhouse Lane and Fair Warning but with somethng extra.

I am so surprised they are popular(in Amazon com ranking above 10000 is somethng as this type of rock).

I got interested in this band. Would you kindly describe this band so that MHR fans who only know 80s bands(like me) can understand.

Thanks

Susumu

These guys are doing huge business - especially in Germany and Switzerland where they topped the charts. They also get tons of airplay on VIVA and MTV. I'd describel their sound as Melodic Gothic - great songs with lots of hooks and quite heavy. Probably not of great interest to MHR/AOR traditionalists. But if you're a bit open-minded, chances are you'll liket them a lot.

Peter

It can be described as Sisters of Mercy goes Pop Metal. Strange music but with a strong appeal. Their songes are easy to mesmerize and Bon Jovi goes gothic is not totally false....
