The Szuters

Andrew what happened to the promised Szuters review that has been on the forthcoming reviews list. Did I miss it ? I love the band and all their albums are brilliant but I was hoping you could give a good review and spread the word about this totally underrated act.

I have been very impressed with what I have heard. I am waiting to get their new one via their website, when they finally offer it up here in The States.

Big Dog

RE: The Szuters

The Szuters are named after 2 brothers who formed the band, Mike and CJ.
They are a four piece and as far as I know started out at the end of the 80's when
they were called Outta The Blue. They were a bit like the best of Extreme mixed with Enuff Znuff and Cheap Trick but over the years have moved away from the arena rock sound and more toward a heavy metal pop band. They write amazinf songs with superb harmonies and vocals.
Mike Szuter is a multi talented geezer and plays bass in Paul Gilberts live band.
He is on the live album. He sounds like Billy Sheehan on it too.
All their records are great but for starters try Meet The Szuters from 97.
They have the following available from Decompressionrecords.com
Meet The Szuters
American Pop
Demo ep ( only 100 have been made ) 4 Tracks from 1999 not available elsewhere.
Last Band Standing
Also a 17 track Outta The Blue compilation of demos some of which were later
rerecorded for Szuters albums.
