No support for Crue in UK!

Either the date for 'New Tattoo' in the UK has changed from the 17th (Monday) or there is a massive lack of interest in this release in the industry over here.

I mentioned this another thread but in case anyone missed it, according to our company computer NOT ONE copy of the Crue album has been ordered for the high street music outlet I work for! Now, wether I like them or not, this has to be disturbing news. It displays a major lack of interest in the artist, presumably because sales are expected to be so poor, on behalf of the retailer. It also raises the question of how much support the UK label responsible for the release is prepared to give it. Just how big a priority is the Motley Crue album for Virgin (in the UK)?

The point being here that if, what used to be a major band, on a major label can expect so little support then what chance anyone else?

I hope I'm wrong and the date's been changed. Otherwise it's another sad enditement of the state of rock music in the UK.

Huh? I imagine Our Price stock all the latest rap(spelt with a silent 'c')stuff, which is really uplifting in the lyrical department. Hypocrites.
The company is being somewhat short-sighted, as there is clearly a gathering resurgence if interest in rock music, and Our Price will lose in the end.

So it's official. OUR PRICE SUCKS!!!!

Big surprise huh? It just goes to show how the company has moved further and further away from its original values. It's not a place to work for anybody with a passion for music, that's for sure.

And that's why I'm leaving!!!

I think that suggests interest don't you?!
I also heard that a small shop in Newcastle sold 30 copies on Saturday alone.
By the way, it's the best thing CRUE have dome in years- and that Tommy Lee is not missed.

I want it to help kickstart the rock scene over here but I suspect the major labels don't care. There's a very different attitude from labels over here. British labels seem to be hanging on to this misguided idea that they can dictate music policy for the world. They can't!
Please, if you read this, live in the UK., and get hold of the album in the next few days, let me know so I can tell my head office just what a BAG OF SHITE they really are!!!!!

Pissed off!!!!

It had a bonus track that the US didnt get. Actually it was just TimeBomb, and Nikki had that on the site around Christmas for a few days for a Christmas present to the fans.
Maybe your store is the only one not getting it. Can you try another?
It is a very good CD. Hopefully you will be able to find it.
Even other bands fans are digging it. I found this at the LA GUNS message board

http://www.lagunsweb.com/wwwboard/board.html

You gotta scroll down a bit, but nothing but Rave reviews.
