Sorry people, I picked up a nice price CD the other day and it just reminded me of the dribble we had re Aussie rock bands past and present not long ago, and I'd forgotten these guys. The Screaming Jets - heard of 'em? The CD I got was their relatively recently released best of disc, bits and pieces from all of their discs, and two tracks from their forthcoming release. Fantastic pub rock, these guys are up there with The Poor. These guys made a bit of an impression on the US scene earlier in the 90's didn't they? I've got a few of their discs now, and the new tracks are sensashe, so I'll be getting that when it comes out as well! Just thought I'd get that crap off my chest. Wanna really hear some rock from Oz? Try The Church's last offering, Hologram Of Baal. Saw them live in Europe and the US last year. The really do know how to rock. None of this jumping around pretending to rock that we see so much off, but actually rockin' by playing min buggering-ly great guitar/bass/drums...
