RE: Streetheart question.....

Hi Guys,

The band made made 8 albums from 1977 to 1983. These were Meanwhile Back In Paris, Under Heaven Over Hell, Quicksand Shoes, Drugstore Dancer, Streetheart, Live After Dark (live double LP), Dancing With Danger and Buried Treasure. The latter is an LP of outtakes and different versions, including Hot Cherie, which was covered by Hardline but strangely wasn't considered good enough to be included on the self-titled 1982 album.
The only CD's available are Action...Best Of, Over 60 minutes with Streetheart and the S/T 1982 album. Their first two albums were released on CD by a German label called Repertoire in the early 90's, but these weren't very well put together and sound like they were transferred from the LP's.
Action is a very good compilation of the first 3 WEA albums, while 60 Minutes is an overview of their entire career. It's on Capitol so all the songs that are included from the WEA albums are live versions from Live After Dark. Personally I find it rather annoying to listen to because the live tracks and studio tracks are all mixed up. The self-titled 1992 album is an absolute classic and should be quite cheap and easy to get hold of.
By the way, the band still play live gigs occasionally, so maybe we'll get a new album sometime.
Hope this helps,

Phil
