Jovi sales in US......

Well folks, the numbers are in....

Crush debuted at #9 on the Billboard Charts in the us with 115,000 copies sold....not bad really, but the true measure of success is continuing sales.....Def Leppard's Euphoria debuted at #11 with about 90,000 sold, but sank shortly afterwards.....

Let's see how the promotion machine does...
Cheers,

RE: Ireland

Hi , Crush has been no 1 for two weeks on the albums chart and the single Its my Life at no 3 before slipping.Considering Boyzone and Westlife (both huge Irish boy bands) and the Corrs have current releases available it's a good achievement. The label really supported the release though, everywhere you looked Bon Jovin was there, mags, TV, poster sites, radio,.....just shows , when the big machiene works....it makes all the difference to the artists........cheers.........Kieran

I think the album is also in the top 10 as well. Very pleasing based on the fact there is so much 'Boy Band" and 'Vamp Teens" shit polluting the airwaves at the moment.

Cheers

dogga

np - Warrant - Young, Wild and Free mp3 (this may be their best song i've heard)

Holland

Over here in Holland the album has been on the #1 spot for at least 2 weeks now. It's My Life has been the #1 single for about 2 or 3 weeks if I'm correct, (I've been out of the country for a few weeks, so I'm not sure) so I think you can say BJ is doing pretty well down here.
Last week the biggest chain of record stores in Holland sold Crush for about two third of the normal price, which probably helped to keep them at #1.

Fred

...and in the UK

...the votes from the UK jury were...84,000 in the first week, debuting at no.1.
Which makes it their fifth number one album in a row over here. A record bettered only by four other acts in UK chart history by Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Rod Stewart and, who else but...Abba!
Info courtesy of Music Week.

Now is it me or does that figure sound pretty good compared to the US figure, given the difference in the size of the countries?
