Matchbox Twenty

I would like to know your honest opinion of Matchbox Twenty. I bought Mad Season yesterday and found myself loving almost every tracks. I gave the score of 93 the highest for recent hit albums(I gave Millenium 83, Supernatural 80, Baby One More Time 75).

My first impression is they sounds like 70s vocalist-oriented rock. Songwriting and production is great. Good rock is finally coming back to the U.S.

Cheers for Mr.Big which earned American release recently. According to Amazon.com sales ranking of Get Over It is around No.5000 a bit above recent Def Leppard masterpiece Euphoria.

Regards

So which one is it for album of the year so far, 'Mars Electric' or 'Matchbox 20'? Let's face it, they're worlds apart from any of the other mediocre shite that's out at the moment!

Their music includes way too much harmonies and melodies to be that.

And... Rob Thomas is a really talented write, also, the arrangements on the new album are just incredible. Guitar rock at its best.

Mike wrote:
-------------------------------
I think the band is great myself. Most people want to lump them in as alternative, but they aren't. Just great modern rock.
