And I'm not sure whether I agreed with everything I wrote either! Ha Ha, just kidding. I just called it how I saw it.
One of the coolest things that came out of being in the position I was lucky enough to find myself in for so long was to be able to inform others about so many great bands and see how far those bands were able to get up the ladder. One of my former colleagues, who shall remain nameless, once reckoned I was too much of a fan to be a journalist. Well, I might not be the greatest writer in the world by any means, but I like to think I know a good record when I hear one. Whether that's the same record everyone else thinks is great is another matter!!
By the way, John (Kivel Records), if you want to push the likes of Radar etc a little further via the UK press then by all means send any material c/o 'Classic Rock'. I promise not to publish the Pamela Moore Band photo I have (well, I promised Pam back on the 'Mindcrime' tour that I'd keep it under lock and key, so I have to keep my word to the lady anyway!)

(Even though I welcomed both of those mags at the time). And even though I'd like to see more melodic rock stuff in there I wouldn't like the mag to suffer for including what is, for the most part, some pretty obscure/fan based info.

Classic Rock and Wiggy, a formidable combination!!! Seriously, I am really pleased that CR is still going - I didn´t expect it to be in the current musical climate - and, even though I don´t agree with everything you write, I do think your reviews are pretty fair. To be honest the journalism in CR is of a very high standard and anyone who hasn´t seen the magazine should try hunting it down. A guaranteed good read from cover to cover.

By far the best is the aptly titled www.melodicrock.com, a site run by Tasmanian based fanatic ANDREW McNEICE (name in bold!), who had originally toyed with the idea of starting his own magazine. Opting for the Web instead, he created his first site four years ago that has evolved into the all-encompassing beast it is today. The site now receives considerable feedback, especially now that band members themselves are becoming more involved. Definately well worth a visit".
Not too cheesy I hope!
