City Boy on CD - THANKS!

To the person who pointed me in the direction of NEH Records for the City Boy CD, I just wanted to say "thanks"! (sorry, since the board went offline and the old posts are gone, I can't look up who you were...)

I rec'd the CD today in the mail (FAST service!) and am very pleased. This is a 2-CD set, of the album "Book Early" and another album entitled "Young Men Gone West" that I didn't even know they HAD! I can't wait to listen to it and see how it compares to "Book Early". I remember really getting into Book Early when it came out on vinyl...I think I was all of about 12 years old! LOL! The song "Summer In The Schoolyard" was what made me want to become a drummer (Cheesy as that is...nope it wasn't Zeppelin or Rush for me...heh heh...guess I HAD to be a little different!)

Anyway, thanks again for the info!

There are 2 double cd sets,
the one you have and another with the 1st 2 albums "City Boy" and "Dinner At The Ritz". There are also 2 other single cds of the Classics "Day The Earth Caught Fire" and "Heads Are Rolling". The band also recorded a very rare 7th lp called "It's Personal" which is also brilliant. This is vinyl only and very very hard to find.
I have never seen another copy other than mine. I think it may have only been issued in Germany but I am not sure.
Mike Slamer went on to join Streets with Steve Walsh of Kansas and is now the genius behine Steelhouse Lane. This guy is one of the best guitarists on the planet.

Carl
