Millenium made their live debut with new singer Jorn Lande at last years Gods. Ten they went away and recorded their best ever album with the great vocalist at the helm.
After seeing the guys rehearse a couple of days earlier, I knew this was going to be shit hot. And it was...
Jorn is simply one of the great hard rock vocalists of our current time, with vocals ranging from the powerful best of David Coverdale to the melodic touches of Lou Gramm.
He can sing anything basically!
But tonight it was al power rock, with most tracks from their new album featured. Considering it was only being released that day, I think the guys did a wonderful job of showcasing the songs to the new crowd.
There is simply so much melody and harmonies in the new songs, it was going to be hard to pull them off live. Ralph was clearly a little frustrated at a few elements of the set, but believe me guys (and Ralph), you rocked the house.
I haven't seen the guys live before, but really hope I can do it again, as they are clearly a professional act and have it together on stage.
Jorn Lande was king of the stage with his voice just booming.
The new material from the Hourglass album is designed for playing live, with a real stadium rock feel to it. That's one of the reasons it translated so well to the stage tonight.
