Melodica

Another of the hot shot acts I was looking forward to seeing. After building a strong friendship with Ted and Gerhard, I was pleased to see the venue full for their arrival on stage.

There were things to prove here tonight. Would the controversy of the Long Way From Home album be wiped from the memories of those that had followed it and how would Ted's vocal's sound?
30 seconds into It's Not Enough and there are no problems here! Ted's in fine voice and in fine form and spends the next 45 minutes jumping all over the stage, rapping with the crowd, introducing 2 new tracks and generally looking like a man possessed.
The Melodica tracks go over well, but when it comes to the 2 classic Danger Danger numbers played back to back, the crowd were in AOR Heaven. (Sounds like a cool name for a shop...)
Ted's vocals were occasionally drowned out by the musical backing - most of that provided by guitarist Gerhard, who I have to say is one hell of a player. All he has to do now is move around a little and maybe interact with the crowd. There is no better way to pick up fans.
Mind you that might be a little hard when you are competing against Mr. Energy - Ted Poley! He bounded all around the stage, clearly he was a man in his element for sure!

Another great set and another highlight of the day. It just keeps getting better :)

I loved the cover of Toto's White Sister and I got a laugh from Ted's animated comments leading into the last track, another new one - What Number Are You - hilariously dedicated to his critics! Great stuff.

Ted pumps his fist in reaction to the crowd response.
