"Lay it on the Line", the 2004 demo album by SACRED HEART received dozens of excellent reviews, opened many doors for the band & tracks from the CD gained airplay all over the world. In 2007, the band are back with their new, official album. . .
SACRED HEART have released the new 12 track CD "Shake" through their own Winkelrant Records, even though there have been a number of offers by labels put down on the table.
The band don't want to be labelled within the genre - they just want to be a "rock" band - thus enabling them to offer up on their releases different styles & songs from various influences.
"Shake" has received some incredible reviews/scores (below) but it won't win every reviewer over - ultimately though, their review is only their opinion. With the onset of the Internet and sites, such as the bands own & myspace, plus the opportunity to showcase at places like MR.com etc (where you can hear some or all of the tracks) you can judge the songs for yourself.
There is something for everyone on "Shake": brooding slow heavy rockers like "Afraid", upbeat sing-a-long late 80's influenced hard rock, like "Paradise" & "1000 Tears", guitar/pop influenced numbers like "Natali", the highly acclaimed big ballad "Maybe", the southern rock sound of the title track, songs that are screaming out for airplay like "Lost" & "Promise" and the more modern influenced tracks such as "Tonight" & "Lift You Up", plus more!
It is difficult for a new band in a genre that has many established players, give SACRED HEART a listen - you never know, you may like it!!!
