JACKVIPER emerged from the dirty backstreets of London in the summer of
2005, when Kiss, Shredder and the Ferlanger, decided to collectively raise a
JD-soaked middle finger in the air, in defiance of the characterless
manufactured bullshit that was dominating the UK airwaves.
Once Jay R was recruited to complete the line-up, JACKVIPER wasted little
time. Shortly after recording their debut EP 'Sleazy Listening' they were
asked to provide the soundtrack to the Axl Rose DVD: "The Prettiest Star"
released worldwide.
Weeks later the band were flown out to Germany to support the legendary LA
GUNS on their German tour in October 2005 and in February 2006, JACKVIPER
appeared on Perris Records "Hollywood Hairspray 5"compilation released
worldwide.
JACKVIPER then accompanied VIXEN and HOUSE OF LORDS on their full UK summer
tour in '06 and once the tour was over, JACKVIPER headed back into the
studio to record their 'Murder 1' EP, from which the infamous track 'Go Fuck
Yourself' featured.
Shortly after the tour, amplification company MARSHALLAMPS officially
endorsed JACKVIPER and JACKVIPER's newest track 'Spider to the Fly' was
chosen to be pre-loaded onto 500,000 Creative 'Zen V' MP3 players available
throughout Europe.
In October 2006 JACKVIPER toured the UK with New York rockers Slunt and in
January 2007 JACKVIPER embarked on their third UK tour this time with Tracii
Guns' LA Guns.
In February 2007, Perris Records asked JACKVIPER to feature their track
'Walk the Line' on the 'Perris International Network CD' released worldwide.
Having succeeded in updating the classic sleaze sound and image for today's
record buying market, and with their 'Sleaze Army' growing in numbers all
the time (it now reaches across the globe into the USA and Canada and
beyond) JACKVIPER are continuing to inspire a new generation of rock fans
all over the world.
JACKVIPER's new six-track EP 'Bullets for the Faithful' will be released in
the Summer of 2007.
