Angel House..the latest flag-bearer of Hard Rock to come from the industrial Midlands of England. Following in the footsteps and influenced by the likes of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy .Yes, even Phil Lynott apparently lived in the Black Country as a youngster!, Angel House were raised on a diet of Classic British Rock.

Formed in 2004 from the ashes of Birmingham band Franklin, Pete Easthope and his Brother Phil decided the time was right to create a traditional no- nonsense power trio and set about finding the right drummer to complete the package. After many auditions they eventually came across Simon Cooper, who not only played exactly in the style they were searching for, but also liked all the same things and had the same sense of humour as the Easty Boys. "We knew this was right" explains Pete, "at our first session, we realised something special was happening. We had created the band I’ve always been searching foreveryone just fittedit was one of those magic rock moments."

As a band, all the guys enjoy what they do, and feel that it is only worthwhile if you give one hundred percent every time. "That is the minimum that the fans deserve and should expect" says Phil. "I wouldn't want to have to pay to see shite or get ripped off with third rate performances, so why expect others to."

Pete, Simon and Phil are prolific song writers, and many of the issues of today are close to there hearts. Pete has a philosophical view of life, and all the guys are very much for a more open and free society. Many of the situations in the world today, be them political or ecological, figure heavily in their songs.

In 2005 Angel House released a single; the fans live favourite "Superstitious Woman", which was only sold through their website and at gigs, but gained substantial radio airplay. The reception to the single pushed the band to write an album, and in the summer of 2006 they entered Madhat Studios to create "World On Fire". Produced by Mark Stuart (Magnum etc.), the album was laid down to try to keep the unique live signature sound that Angel House have developed. They were successful. "As a Hard Rock Power Trio," says Simon, "you have to be right on the numbers when performingthe album has no extra effectswhat you hear is basically what you get when you listen at shows. Fans expect to be able to identify with the band they hear on the radio etc, not turn up to a gig and hear something unrecognisable. We are proud of what we have created." It is a fact that Angel House have put their own edge on melodic hard rock, with the minimum of fuss, they just do the business.

"The House" have gigged relentlessly and have played anywhere in a bid to get their music in front of audiences, a highlight for them was to support legendary American Rockers "Mountain".

Angel House received an award for "best band 2006" from Radio Gets Wild after a pre release demo was picked up by one of the station DJs. The band was interviewed in December and scooped the award at the 2007 New Years ceremony.

"Last year was a major year for "The House" says Pete. "In 2006 we took on RJB Management to help move the band forward, and later in the year we signed a deal with Copro/Casket for release of the album."

Angel House are obviously a band with loads of passion for music, but they also have the commitment and quality that will ensure they’ll be around for many years. And what does the future hold? "Well, we already have a substantial bank of songs, says Pete, so we would like to release albums on a more regular basis than is the norm these days, but it would be cool just to keep playing our music to any one that wants to listen".
