“II” is the previously unreleased second studio album by American AOR band BILLY SATELLITE; the follow-up to their Billboard chart release “Billy Satellite” from 1984. After a tour together with the legends NIGHT RANGER, the production work on album #2 begun. The plan was to start production on the record together with producer Keith Olsen at his Good Night L.A. studios in Summer 1985.
Unfortunately, like with so many other bands of the time, their A&R at Capitol Records was replaced, the second Billy Satellite album was quietly shelved and the band was dropped. There was never any working title for the second album and, to singer Monty Byrom’s knowledge, none of the songs were utilised anywhere else.
Featuring a very interesting array of tunes, with a noticeably heavier direction in places than the first album that would’ve garnered rave reviews had it actually been released in 1985 or 86, Monty is really pleased that this record is finally, after twenty years, seeing official release. Of course, after Billy Satellite split Monty put together New Frontier with keyboardist David Neuhauser, drummer Marc Nelson and ex-Gamma bassist Glenn Letsch, releasing an album in 1987 through Polydor’s MIKA Records imprint. Monty then gravitated more towards production and song writing work with Eddie Money (who had scored a chart hit in 1986 with a cover of Billy Satellite’s ‘I Wanna Go Back’) and Grateful Dead’s Brent Mydlands, in addition to writing credits on records by David Lee Roth, the Stray Cats and Rita Coolidge.
However, having eschewed country music in his teens for the more powerful draw of hard rock, Monty found himself changing direction in the mid 90s by forming the country blues outfit Big House (not to be confused with the earlier Canadian hard rock group of the same name) with his former New Frontier cohort David Neuhauser, securing a deal with MCA and releasing three albums between 1997 and 2000. Byrom was then invited to join Bakersfield’s country legends The Buckaroos following the sad passing of band leader Buck Owens, a band with whom he is still very much associated with. A fourth Big House album, ‘Never Ending Train’, was released in 2008, which is strangely the rarest of the four released titles.
Billy Satellite’s album “II” was remastered by Chris Lyne (ex Soul Doctor, Mother Road) and liner notes were written by Dave Reynolds.

Docker's Guild is very proud to announce the release of it's second album "The Heisenberg Diaries - Book A: Sounds of Future Past" in CD format onRock Company/Black Swan Records. The digital release is on Lion Music.
It is part of a series of 4 transitional albums placed between the 5 main “seasons” and which focus on an aspect of the storyline’s main character, Dr. Jack Heisenberg. This particular installment focuses on Jack’s youth and love of science fiction, in fact the album contains exclusively vintage science fiction soundtracks reworked in the typical Docker’s Guild sound. “Book A” will be followed by “The Mystic Technocracy - Season II: The Age of Entropy”, already in development. Another unique feature of “Book A” is its all-female cast, which makes it, as far as we know, the first all-female metal opera ever recorded.
The Greek melodic metallers INNERWISH will release their new album entitled "InnerWish" on March 18th in Europe and North America via Ulterium Records. The album will be available on CD, LP, Tape and digital. Bickee Music will issue the album in Japan on March 30th.
The album was mixed by Fredrik Nordström and Henrik Udd at Studio Fredman [In Flames, Dimmu Borgir, Hammerfall] and mastered by Peter In De Betou [Arch Enemy, Opeth, Amon Amarth]. The artwork of the album was created by Felipe Machado Franco [Blind Guardian, Rhapsody Of Fire, Xandria] and the design was done by Jan Yrlund [Korpiklaani, Apocalyptica, Manowar].
The band comments on the new album:
"This is the first album with our new lineup, and we hope this lineup will be unchanged for many years since we now feel stronger, more confident and sure about ourselves than ever before. For those reasons we chosed 'InnerWish' as the title of our new album, because it represents us in the most exact way. We are very proud of this album. It might sound very common, but it's the truth for us: this is the best InnerWish album so far! Heavy, aggressive, modern, melodic and diverse at the same time, with all the classical InnerWish elements, combined with some new ones. It might have been 6 years since the release of 'No turning back' but all the difficult times we've been through made us stronger and the result is this new, fifth album of InnerWish. We are back for good!"
Munich based label AOR Heaven is proud to announce to the signing of Finnish Melodic Hard Rock heroes RECKLESS LOVE for a release in the following countries & territories: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, BeNeLux & Sweden!
To accompany the tour dates starting March 15th in Zurich, the album “InVader” will already be released on March 11th.
Finland's own merry metallers, Reckless Love are carrying the torch of fun loving melodic hard rock and boy oh boy, they are doing it right. The band has been churning out insanely catchy anthems of wild parties, crazy nights and of course, girls girls girls for a better half of the decade now. There is simply no stopping this four piece.
Since day one, this brilliant quartet has been known for their shameless, colourful and high energy live performances which they have taken all over the world. Relentless touring in their home territory Finland, and also in the United Kingdom has helped them reach a steady following in both countries. In fact, the British fans showed their love in 2013 by raising their previous album "Spirit" on 11th place on the british rock charts. In Finland, their fans went a little further and made Reckless Love a gold selling artist.
March 11th marks the day Reckless Love will release their fourth studio album titled "InVader”.
Pepe Reckless, the bands guitarist, describes the album as their boldest and most versatile so far. He also adds that this time the results didn't come easy and it really meant shedding some blood, sweat and beers.
The band says: "We took a break from extensive touring in order to focus all our time and energy in songwriting. We wanted to stretch our musical muscles and genre limits more than ever before and experimented outside the box of our comfort zone. This way we wrote the greatest batch of songs we’ve ever written. In the end we came back to the core of our joyous brand of rock n roll and the results are fresh and original."
Reckless Love truly has an extraordinary talent for intertwining completely different musical worlds together as one intriguing fresh sound. A perfect example of this can be heard in their latest single "Monster". An ode to modern kind of female figure, in all its glory and gory.
Reckless Love will start their 2016 European/UK tour on 3rd of March from Bristol UK, with their fellow Finns Santa Cruz as their opening act, finishing off at Moscow Russia on 4th of April.
Imperium is the solo project of STRIKE drummer Mika Brushane.
Mika has been playing drums and percussion in various bands since 1981 and has played all genres from jazz to metal and composed songs for different genres and this legacy of mixed genres can be heard in the IMPERIUM songs! The music is a combination of Hard Rock and Melodic Metal and it has a big dose of 80’s feel and sounds in it.
The project started in 2012 when Mika composed a new song for the new STRIKE album and realized that there were more songs in him that needed to be released. For this project, he wrote all songs and lyrics, and was playing all drums, bass, keyboards and singing backing vocals.
All lead vocals and guitars were taken care off by various very talented musicians from the Finnish metal/rock scene. The album’s post production was mixed by Erkka Korhonen (Urban Tale, Northern Kings, Ari Koivunen, Raskasta Joulua) and mastered by the legendary Mika Jussila (Nightwish, Children of bodom, Stratovarius, HIM etc.) The album was produced and recorded during 2012-2015 by Mika himself at his Groovehouse studio in Vantaa, Finland.
Mika Brushane - Music, lyrics, drums, bass, keyboards and backing vocals
Pasi Rantanen - Vocals & guitars (THUNDERSTONE / WARMEN / STRIKE / KING COMPANY)
Markku Kuikka - Vocals & guitars (KENZINER / STATUS MINOR / The RAGGED SAINTS)
Vocalists: Dreamhunter/ Markku Kuikka, Heaven is falling / Nisse Nordling, Wasted years / Markku Kuikka, Always Forever / Markku Kuikka, Fire & Ice / Markku Kuikka, There will be light / Markku Kuikka, 80’s Love song (A.k.a Angel eyes) / Pasi Rantanen, Reach for the stars / Markku Kuikka, Starlight / Pasi Rantanen, Victory / Pasi Rantanen, Finem Vocationem / Instrumental
Theander Expression is the AOR project by Swedish guitar player Andrée Theander, who started to work with the first album in 2012 and released it one year later. It was called ”Strange Nostalgia” after one of the songs and got critically acclaimed around the world of melodic rock in 2013.
Just over two years later the follow-up is finally here and it carries the title ”Wonderful Anticipation”, as a kind of an antonym to the frequently misinterpreted debut title.
Andrée has been producing and recording most of the album at the Theander studio, playing all the guitars and handles also most of the bass and keyboards, some percussion, drum programming and vocals.
Other musicians featured on the album are Herman Furin (Work of Art), Bengan Andersson (NIVA, Johan Randén), Kristofer von Wachenfeldt (Care of Night), Björn Lundqvist (Sunstrike, Twilight Force), Christian Eriksson (Sunstrike, Twilight Force), Erik Martensson (Eclipse, W.E.T), Sebastian Freij and Christoffer ”Foffe” Särnefält.
The record was mixed and mastered by Thomas ”Plec” Johansson at Panic Room Studios in the end of 2015 and the result is another high class rock record with classic melodies and a modern production, ready to hit the market in 2016.
Mikael Erlandsson from Gothenburg is one of the best singers/ songwriters in Sweden today. Beside LAD he has since 2006 been the front man in the Swedish super group Secret Service on live tours all over the world.
He has recorded four successful solo albums and his Japanese record company together with XTC Productions came up with the idea of putting him together with the fantastic guitar player Andy Malecek from the successful German hard rock band Fair Warning for an album project.
Mikael and Andy were both hooked by the idea and a plan for the album began to grow. Ian Haugland, Mic Michaeli and John Leven of Europe-fame were asked if they were interested to join - which they did, and the band LAST AUTUMN'S DREAM was born in 2003!
Their self titled debut album resembled the best Scandinavian melodic rock heritage, but also added a distinctive Fair Warning influence coming from Malecek’s guitar playing.
The band lost 3/5's of their members due to the comeback of Europe. After the release of their second album bassist Marcel Jacob (Talisman) tragically died and was replaced by Nalley Påhlsson (Treat, Therion), and finally drummer Jamie Borger (Talisman, Treat, Secret Service) joined the band.
Andy Malecek unfortunately decided to leave the band in 2014 because of personal reasons and was replaced by Peter “Pac” Söderström, a genius guitar player that earlier used to add rhythm guitars to the band’s previous albums. Producer Ulf Wahlberg in the meantime had joined the band as keyboard player.
LAST AUTMN’S DREAM’s 12th album “Paintings” will be released in Europe in February 2015 and proposes as usual the combination of classic rock references with a modern sound. In October 2015 the band also made a successful performance at Rock City Festival in Nottingham.
Grand Slam was founded in 2007 in Malmö, Sweden, by drummer Andy Swaniz (ex-Quadruple), with the aim to appeal to a wide audience with their melodic rock style.
Bassist Henrik Hansson (ex-Hollywood) got on board the same year and songwriter Peter Alpenborg was brought in to get the ball rolling. There have been several lineup changes over the years, as well as a number of musicians hired only for specific recordings or gigs.
Up until spring of 2010, the focus had been exclusively on studio recordings, but now it was time for the band to do a stage debut. The debut was made in "Grand"-style, with an appearance in the TV-show "Talang", Sweden's equivalent of "Britain's Got Talent", with over one million viewers.
Later that year, the band was joined by keyboardist Daniel Grönberg Svensson who also started contributing to the songwriting, and guitarist Thomas Klintberg.
In the summer of 2012, Grand Slam found the perfect lead singer and frontman for the band, Andy Sinner (ex-Trash Queen). With the addition of two female backing singers, Ivana Papak and Lina Vernblom, Grand Slam was now ready to go out and perform for a live audience.
They entered the worldwide contest Emergenza and made it to the regional finals. The band continued to play live during the summer and autumn of 2013, gathering a strong fan-following.
There was still something missing, and the void was filled by the addition of another guitarist, Andreas Gullstrand. The backup vocalists, Ivana Papak and Lina Vernblom, decided to leave the band that same year.
In 2014, Grand Slam went into the studio to record a three-song EP, "Waiting For Tomorrow", which received considerable attention worldwide. The EP was recorded and produced by Erik Wiss in Peekroom Studios.
Guitarist Thomas Klintberg left the band shortly thereafter, and the remaining band members signed a contract with AOR Heaven to release Grand Slam's debut album, "A New Dawn". Erik Wiss was once again brought in to record the album, which is best described as a well-balanced mix of the original and new Grand Slam sound.
Wigelius was formed in late 2011 by Anders Wigelius, after doing a Swedish tv show that gained him a record deal with Frontiers Records. The idea at the time was to deliver 80's rock with a modern twist. What it became was a heartfelt brotherhood of people that really love good music. It was all about the love for the music and having fun.
When Reinventions was released in 2012, it got immediate attention from the AOR-scene and the expectations on the sophomore release have been very high. To really get the right sound this time around, the band decided to trust the production in the talented hands of their own Erik Wigelius. This also made the process of making the album very creative, with everybody working together on the songs in the studio. Letting all voices be heard, maximizing the potential in each song.
Erik and his brother Anders are also responsible for the production of Care of Night's debut album Connected and has produced many artists and bands all over the world.
Tabula Rasa is latin for "Blank slate" and as a title for this album it couldn't be more fitting. The idea is to show the world how Wigelius really sound, by keeping everything that was great about the first album, and the genre, but taking it one step further.
With Patrik joining, it gave an extra shot in the arm for the band, and finally it feels like all the pieces are together. It's a very diverse album, ranging between influences collected over many years. There are a lot of flavours to be heard in the songs, making the album hard to place in a single genre.
Wigelius is the love child of it's members, and they promise a great future with more releases in the years to come.
"Come and Get It" is the 6th album from power house Tragik and the first time cooperating with Rock Company. Combining massive hooks, multilayered vocals, heavy guitars, atmospheric keyboards, thunderous bass and drums, and pristine production values, this release fires on all cylinders. From the Foreigner-esque opener "Where Would I Be...?" to heavy rocker "Fallen Angel" to the Journey meets Boston rock of "You Are the One", get ready for a melodic onslaught second to none.
This album has it all, metal, hard rock, melodic power ballad, and anything else associated with high quality music. Vocalist, guitarist, bassist, keyboardist, and drummer Phil Vincent has a knack for writing melodic hooks. His time with rockers Legion proved that. Aided by guitarist Damian D'Ercole and guest guitarists Peter Cox , Vince O'Regan and Michael J. Sprague, "Come and Get It" rocks you to the very core. 12 minute opus "Rescue Me/Rise to the Sun" shows Tragik's prog-rock tendencies and really is a masterpiece. The metal slam of "Can't Slow Down" blasts through your speakers with rough abandon, the Paul McCartney drenched "When the Darkness Falls", the Dokken meets Winger rock of "Someone's Gonna Hurt You Tonight", and the flat out class of "Smokin' Gun" will leave you breathless.
MRCD13 “Peak Melodic” is 55 tracks, of which there are 27 unreleased tracks and other rarities! The triple CD Set will be housed in a special slimline Jewel Case, with special full artwork as per usual.
AMBOAJE 'All About Living' delivers pure Rock with memorable vocals and a unique style. Amboaje pronounced (am-bo-age), led by front man Toni Amboaje who is by all accounts a self-taught composer with pure Rock running through his veins,
is a high-energy artist with his feet on the ground.
Saffire was born in 2005 when Victor Olsson and Dino Zuzic were in school together. The idea was to form a band based on old school melodic hard rock and heavy metal but add a modern twist to it. After months of searching and auditioning, the duo was joined by Magnus Carlsson, Martin Järbur and Gustav Elowson.
In 2007 they recorded a first demo but soon after, Gustav had to leave the band and was replaced by then 17-year old Anton Roos, who had just won the Swedish Drum Solo Champion of the year contest. Another demo was recorded in 2008 and Saffire started playing shows in the local area, slowly making a name for themselves. In 2010 Martin was replaced by Tobias Jansson, and an EP was recorded and released. The band kept playing lot's of live shows and finally in 2013, Saffire signed with Inner Wound Recordings for the release of their debut album ”From Ashes to Fire”.
The album was highly praised all over the world, and Rocknytt.net, Sweden's biggest rock website, put the album on their top 10 list of the best albums of 2013. Saffire went on to tour all over Sweden, playing some of the biggest festivals alongside bands like Slayer, Steel Panther, At the Gates and Sabaton.
The new album is titled ”For The Greater Good” and consists of 11 songs written by Victor Olsson and Tobias Jansson. The album was mixed and partly recorded at Sound Industry Studio by Arnold Lindberg (Evergrey, Ghost, Hardcore Superstar) and mastered by Dragan Tanaskovic (In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, Mustasch).
Line-up: Tobias Jansson - Vocals, Victor Olsson - Guitars, Anton Roos os - Drums, Dino Zuzic - Keyboards, Magnus Carlsson on - Bass
The new Swedish classic hard rock band MAJOR INSTINCT is the brainchild of M.ILL.ION founder, main songwriter and bass guitarist B.J Laneby. After 25 years, seven highly critically acclaimed albums with six figures sales and international touring, he decided to put M.ILL.ION to rest and start something new. This decision came after B.J became very ill and actually nearly died at the end of their last UK-tour (June/July 2014). Several months of intensive care both in the UK and in Sweden followed and once conscious and recovering, he had a lot of time to think. Said and done, the best musicians and the coolest guys available in Sweden were picked and in late December 2014 MAJOR INSTINCT was formed in Gothenburg. A BAND, not a project! The line-up soon was completed with Stefano Marchesini (lead vocals, ex HUMAN RACE), Magnus Mild (guitars), Johan Häll (drums, ex- M.ILL.ION) and 22-year old newcomer Gabriel Glamheden (Hammond & keys).
The songwriting took place in the first part of 2015 and carries on the vibe of bands like Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, KISS and Deep Purple. The major part of the lyrics, all written by B.J Laneby, reflects on the rollercoaster ride called life. A couple of rough recordings were sent out to some contacts in the business and very soon there were offers on the table. In May 2015, the band decided to go with Metal Heaven and MAJOR INSTINCT signed a deal with them for Europe.
With a deal and a budget in place, July 2015 was spent in the Rabbit Hole Studios in Gothenburg Sweden. Guitarist Magnus Mild was the engineer, Victor Olsson took care of the mix and Martin Kronlund of JM Studio mastered the album.
“High Five”, a straight catchy rock´n roll song with a positive message was chosen as the first single and a video clip: "We can do it together!" Be it the team, the band or the couple. The release date for both was on September 30, 2015. The video for this track was directed by the video producer & photographer, the talented Mr Alex Kristoffersson.
“Roots & Wings” is the name of the album which finally will see the light of day on AOR Heaven on November 27, 2015. On the same day the band will make their first live appearance at the launch party/release at Musikens Hus, in Gothenburg Sweden.

Guitarist Stevie Janevski states enthusiastically; “The Heaven Or Heartbreak album title stands for our belief in melodic heavy rock. It’s our ‘heaven!’ We’ve grown as a band – and it would be our ‘heartbreak’ if this new album doesn’t extend our fanbase. All of us spent a lot of time on writing the songs and really believe it’s a good album with no fillers. We’re all really looking forward to getting out there and touring the album in as many parts of the world as possible”.
The Radio Sun debut album ‘Wrong Things Right’ was a top seller for MelodicRock Records and was well received by the press & public worldwide with favourable reviews in major scribes such as Classic Rock, Powerplay, Fireworks and Burrn! amongst others.
Two appearances at MelodicRockFest 3 & 4 in Chicago U.S.A. helped showcase The Radio Sun’s live experience with notable first class four part vocal harmonies (a standout on the new album) which impressed so much that Paul Laine asked the band to be his backing band for live shows in America and in Australia.

DIVINER is a heavy metal band from Greece founded by long-time friends and music partners Yiannis Papanikolaou (vocals) and Thimios Krikos (guitar) in the summer of 2011.
Their vision was to proudly express themselves by creating and playing something powerful, intense, deep, heavy, dark and inspired that at the same time would sound up to date. All this without losing the elements that reflect the essence of pure and timeless magic of metal music.
With this in mind they started writing songs and in a short period of time some of their friends and well known musicians of the local metal scene George Maroulees (guitar), Herc Booze (bass) and Fragiskos Samoilis (drums) joined them and the band took its final form.
'Fallen Empires' is DIVINER's first attempt to reach out to the metal world and will be released by Ulterium Records on the 20th of November 2015.
Their sound influences cover a very wide range of metal paths having classic heavy origins and melodies, blended with modern crushing riffs, groovy rhythm sections, powerful vocals and an overall up to date approach.
The recordings took place at Devasoundz Studios in Athens, with Thimios Krikos and Fotis Benardo (SIXFORNINE, ex- SEPTIC FLESH) handling them. Thimios Krikos was also responsible for the mixing of the album, while Peter In de Betou (Arch Enemy, Opeth, Amon Amarth) of Tailor Maid fame handled the mastering. The cover artwork and sleeve design were made by the talented artist Alan Fall of Digital Grief.

Signum Regis biography
Signum Regis was formed in 2007 by bass player Ronnie K'nig. The highly respected vocalist G'ran Edman [ex. Yngwie Malmsteen, John Norum] joined the band and they started to work on their debut album. The self-titled debut album was released during 2008 through Locomotive Records and received great reviews from around the world.
In 2010 Signum Regis signed with Inner Wound Recordings and released the impressive concept album 'The Eyes Of Power', still with G'ran on vocals. The album was received really well, especially in Europe. With this album it was clear that Signum Regis had found their own sound within the melodic/neoclassical metal scene.
The third Signum Regis album 'Exodus' was released in 2013 and it featured many different vocalists like G'ran Edman [ex. Yngwie Malmsteen], Lance King [ex. Pyramaze, Balance of Power], Matt Smith [Theocracy], Michael Vescera [Obsession], Daisa Munhoz [Vandroya, Soulspell] and more. 'Exodus' was a bit more straight melodic metal than the previous album, but the classic Signum Regis elements were still there.
Early 2014 the band decided to make Mayo Petranin their new lead vocalist. Mayo had already done many shows with the band and he also contributed the vocals to one of the songs on 'Exodus' so it felt like a natural move. During 2013 and 2014 Signum Regis did some shows in their home country Slovakia, but they also performed in the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland.
During 2014 Signum Regis started to work on new material and it was decided that a 6 track EP would be released in May 2015 and the fourth full-length album during fall 2015. The EP entitled 'Through The Storm' received excellent feedback from fans and media, with many of them calling it the best Signum Regis release so far. Two music videos was also recorded and released for the tracks 'Living Well' and 'Come And Take It'.
Both 'Through The Storm' and 'Chapter IV: The Reckoning' shows that Signum Regis is a band that is constantly developing and improving everything from song-writing and musicianship to production and the visual part of the band. Signum Regis will surely win over many new fans in the melodic metal scene with these releases.
Band founder Ronnie K'nig comments about the new album 'Chapter IV: The Reckoning':
'It was the plan since get go, to make our best album so far. After releasing the EP earlier this year, it was clear that the bar was set pretty high. We worked very hard and we believe, that we managed to lift the bar even higher in every aspect. Some of the songs on the album will become the classics of Signum Regis, that's for sure. There will be 10 new songs on the album, none of them appeared on the EP, which makes both the album and the Through The Storm EP a good buy for the fans.'
The mastering of the album was handled by Jens Bogren [Symphony X, Opeth, Arch Enemy] and the artwork was created by Jan Yrlund [Delain, Apocalyptica, Korpiklaani].
Signum Regis line-up:
Mayo Petranin - Lead Vocals
Filip Kolus - Guitars
Ronnie Konig - Bass, backing vocals
Jan Tupy - Keyboards, backing vocals

In the post era of the FM dominated airwaves comes a new generation of classic rock, RADIO EXILE.
On rare occasions, some magical-artistic vibe goes out calling up a unique set of musicians to create groundbreaking music. When truly great musicians come together, the resulting brotherhood/sisterhood embraces their diversity, enabling them to collaborate so as to push through otherwise insurmountable boundaries. Collaboratively, they each pour the very best of what makes them cutting edge individually, into one dynamic presentation. For the rest of us, we are compelled to listen over and over.
When Charlie Calv decided to send out the vibe, he probably didn’t anticipate collective perfection, but that is what he got. When Charlie and Chandler Mogel wrote the music and lyrics for these songs, they could not have anticipated the individual masterpiece each would become. But that is what they got. Take two brilliant writers and musicians, collaborating with some of the best individual players in the world and you understand why this music is so strong. RADIO EXILE is one of the very best hard rock projects to come along in many years.
Individually, the musicians that come together to form RE, perform on stage or in the studio with the greatest artists of our time. This list includes Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Hall and Oates, Allison Krauss, Billy Idol, John Waite, members of Pink Floyd, Styx, Journey, Van Halen, the Rolling Stones, and Black Sabbath. This talent pool has been tapped, used, and appreciated over the years. Now, together as one, five brilliantly successful, creative worlds collide in a panoramic musical explosion.
The lineup is notable with Charlie on keyboards and Chandler on lead vocals. Jimmy Leahey contributes his soulful guitar playing, and all are constructed on the rhythm foundations crafted by bassist Kenny Aaronson and percussion specialist Dave Anthony. Their impressive resumes list their many accomplishments, but only hint at what RE truly represents. What makes this project so epic is that these five distinguished artists draw us in to experience their passion and love for music right along with them. From the hard-hitting, bombastic percussion of “High Road, High Price,” to the gospel infused “A Cross on Stone” - featuring the voices of Jessie Wagner (Kid Rock and Lenny Kravitz), Joe Cerisano (TSO and Silver Condor) and Amy Harnell (Tony Harnell and The Mercury Train) - these tracks are sure to stand the test of time.
Enlisting Grammy-nominated engineer/producer Steve DeAcutis (Vanilla Fudge, Cyndi Lauper, Corey Glover, etc) and veteran producer/A&R man Steve Lunt (Britney Spears, ‘NSync , Joan Jett ,etc), the latter who first honed his skills alongside the legendary Mutt Lange as vocalist of the chart topping British band City Boy, the guys checked into the SPA (Sound Spa Recording) and an immediate synergy took hold. The finishing touches were then added by top mastering engineer Alan Douches (Fleetwood Mac, Yes, Train, Pete Townsend, etc.) at his West West Side Music facility.
Reuniting some old friends, and making some new, RADIO EXILE is a fantastic blend of hard rock that will not disappoint the existing fans of any of these musicians. In fact, RADIO EXILE is sure to gain a new generation of fans who will be hungry for more. When the sure hand of destiny channels the melodic heart, we celebrate the creation. RADIO EXILE is exactly that and more. Just listen.
TOTO singer Joseph Williams teams up with former Chicago singer Bill Champlin and Swedish guitarist/producer Peter Friestedt for a new remarkable AOR release following the success with the ”Live In Concert” DVD that made it all the way to the top on the Swedish Chart!
In 2012 Champlin/Willams/Friestedt played a sold out Scandinavian tour and during this time the first recordings of the "CWF" album took place. The new album also includes contributions from Steve Porcaro of TOTO, Randy Goodrum (TOTO, Chicago), Will Champlin and Tamara Champlin.
Champlin says: "I’ve been involved with a project that includes me, Peter Friestedt a great guitarist and producer from Sweden, and Joseph Williams, the singer of TOTO! I was pretty knocked out by the stuff. I’d almost forgotten how good it was when we did it. There are great songs and even better performances on this album, and I know you’ll love it It’s rare for me to be involved with a project and be surprised by how good it is. This one will knock you out.”
Joseph Williams is the lead vocalist with Grammy winning US band TOTO. He has been busy as a composer of film and drama scores, as a session vocalist, backing singer and can be heard in Disney’s animated feature film “The Lion King” as singing voice of the adult Simba (“Hakuna Matata” and “Can You Feel The Love Tonight”).
Guitarist, producer & recording artist Peter Friestedt has released two critically acclaimed albums “LA Project” (2002) and “LA Project II” (2008) that got top reviews. Peter has been a busy sessionplayer playin on records with David Foster and Fergie Frederiksen and touring Europe and Japan with Joseph Williams with who he also released the "Williams/Friestedt" album that was a top 40 hit in Scandinavia!
Bill Champlin was the lead singer of the legendary band Chicago for more than 25 years, and is a founding member of the band Sons of Champlin. Champlin has written Grammy award winning songs for Earth Wind & Fire and George Benson, and worked with countless artists including Elton John, The Doobie Brothers and Steve Lukather of TOTO.
Owner of MRR, Andrew McNeice recalls owning a relic of the band’s early days. “When Zakk sent me their album to check out, I only needed seconds to realize the anthemic lead track Whole Lotta Love has been a part of my collection in the form of a 2 track promo-cassette from the early 90s. I had always loved that song and wanted to hear more. Better late than never! This is a classic melodic rock album with a strong dose of Aussie attitude and a very slick, energetic production.”
“Serpentine Sky” will be released in a 10 track regular edition in Europe November 6 as well as a limited Special Edition direct from here, with pre-orders shipping by October 30.
Originally founded in 1989 by Patrick Creamer, Zakk Zedras, Rexx Fernandez, Clinton Roche and Craig Whitelock, Serpentine Sky made an immediate impact on audiences with their energetic live show combining shredding guitars, three part harmonies, huge melodic choruses and the best rhythm section around. In the early nineties, the band was tipped as ‘the next big thing’ by Ian ‘Molly’ Meldrum and showered with major record label deals.
As fate would have it, everything came to an abrupt end in 1991. Drummer Craig Whitelock suffered a motorbike accident which put him out of action for a year. The band tried to carry on with another drummer, but relationships became strained and the magic was lost.
Reuniting almost 25 years later, the band played at the tribute show for dearly departed friend and former White Widow drummer George Kristy. After the show the band committed to record a full length album of the best songs with producer / engineer Ricki Rae. The band changed their name to Serpentine Sky in 2015 and the new album will be Available soon.
Debut album from this new progressive metal band feat. the founder Tom Frelek on guitars, Henrik Båth [Darkwater] on vocals, Mike Lepond [Symphony X] on bass and Marco Minnemann [The Aristocrats, Steven Wilson, Joe Satriani] on drums. Mixed and mastered at Fascination Street [Opeth, Symphony X, Kreator] in Sweden.
Waken Eyes was started early 2013 by Tom Frelek after his old band had gone on hiatus. Tom was still playing in his own instrumental band but wanted to create a prog album that was heavy, melodic, cinematic and with vocals.
The inspiration for writing the album came from many different sources like: music, paintings and movies. Musically the inspiration came mainly from classical composers like Chopin, Mozart, Stravinsky and soundtrack composers like Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, Danny Elfman and others. Tom’s inspiration, when it comes to guitar players are Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Al Di Meola, Michael Romeo, John Petrucci and B.B King.
When Tom finished writing all the demos for the album he already had musicians in mind to play on this record. Marco Minnemann was one of those guys he wanted to get after hearing him play on Paul Gilbert's spaceship one DVD. Hearing how amazingly talented Marco was struck him to send him an email with a few demos attached. He complimented the demos and agreed to play. He completely added so much life to the songs and Tom was almost in tears at one point! The rest is history!
After Marco recorded all the drums (in 3-4 days!) he sent upgraded demos to Mike Lepond of Symphony X as he’s an amazing musician. He recorded his parts fairly quickly. Needless to say Mike's playing was superb and brought the tracks to life!
As for vocals, Tom got Henrik Bath to sing on the album. Tom heard of Henrik and his band Darkwater from a good friend of his. Tom was instantly blown away by his vocal ability. He contacted Henrik and sent him the demos with Marco and Mikes' parts on them. The recording process started shortly after. The life that Henrik brought to this album is indescribable. There is so much passion and honesty in how Henrik sings. Tom had many “wow” moments when Henrik sent over his vocal takes.
The theme of the album is about being fearless and every song has something to do about fearlessness. The theme came from the struggles of everyday life that everyone deals with. How people, emotions, media, governments can enforce fear upon you to make you think a certain way to more or less control you. It's an album for those who struggle to stand up for themselves and can't let their voice be heard.
Certain songs have lyrical ideas about war, media, falling in and out of love, spirituality and faith, good and evil. To sum it up, it is an album about hope. Sounding dark at times but with hope at the end of the tunnel.
“Exodus” is a very impressive and diverse album that will surely appeal to fans of progressive metal, progrock and melodic metal. The album has a great mix of catchy melodies, challenging instrumental parts and epic cinematic movements that will surely capture the attention of the musical community. Everything comes together perfectly in the title track that ends the album with its 18 minutes long epic filled with melodies, progressive parts and a good dose of feeling.
Waken Eyes presents an impressive debut album with “Exodus”, don’t miss out!

Impressive new album from the US heavy metal band Millennial Reign. Perfect for fans of Iron Maiden, Queensryche, Judas Priest and Crimson Glory. Artwork by Felipe Machado Franco [Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, Theocracy].
Millennial Reign was formed as a solo album project by ASKA Bassist, Dave Harvey. Writing for the album began in 2010 as Dave searched for the right vocalist and drummer. Bryan Diffee who had worked with Dave in a prior band a few years earlier was recruited to play drums. Once a solid drummer was secured, Trae Doss came on board to write and record vocals. All guitar, bass and key tracks for Millennial Reign's debut self-titled album were written and recorded by Dave Harvey. The album was recorded at The Recovery Room Studio with engineer Ty Sims and released independently in 2012.
A year or so passed and Dave decided to start writing material for the second album. Trae and Bryan weren't available to work on the sophomore album so Dave began searching for a vocalist as music writing continued. James Guest of the multiple album project Eden's Realm replied to an online ad and it was soon obvious that he was definitely the right guy for the job.
As writing between both Dave and James began, Wayne Stokely who had worked with Dave in various projects was recruited to record drums. After some discussion as things progressed, the decision was made to make Millennial Reign a full band, rather than just a recording project.
Several bass players were auditioned and Daniel Almagro, who works with Wayne in their powermetal band Infidel Rising was chosen. Once Daniel was on board, full band rehearsals began as they continued the search for the right second guitarist.
Months of rehearsals went by with several sporadic guitarist auditions, and the final member Jason Donnelly was chosen as second guitarist. Wayne, Daniel and Jason were all a perfect fit and things began moving forward at a great pace.
Once recording was finished, mix and mastering took place at Nomad Studio with engineers JT Longoria and Gary Long. A deal was made with Swedish label Ulterium Records for an October 30th release in both Europe and North America for the new album “Carry The Fire”.
Fans of Iron Maiden, Queensryche, Judas Priest and Crimson Glory will not be disappointed with this new album. Millennial Reign should be in any collection of melodic or traditional powermetal.
Millennial Reign line-up:
James Guest - Vocals
Dave Harvey - Guitars
Jason Donnelly - Guitars
Daniel Almagro - Bass

Most great rock music can be boiled down into a three letter word, be it G ’N R, R’n’R, AOR or – as in this case – C.O.P. From Sweden, arguably the best breeding ground of modern melodic rock, come this three piece of heralded and experienced AOR-sters, including one of the genre’s top singers, a guitar hero and producer extraordinaire – and a song writing drummer.
Frontman Peter Sundell has graced a number of highly revered albums over the years. His work with Grand Illusion, Decoy and recently, Starlight Brigade, has made AOR fans all over the world drewl, in awe over his high pitched and powerful voice. As the singer of C.O.P he has finally taken the step forward as one of the true masters of melodic rock singing.
Peter’s younger brother Christian was also part of the Grand Illusion family and although he’s capable on most instruments, he has never revealed what an excellent songwriter he is. Until now, that is. It’s his songs and vision that marks the foundation of C.O.P, and it is his knack for writing instant, catchy, earworm worthy hooks that will surely make these boys a revelation to AOR fans all over the world.
The third and last part of the C.O.P equation consists of Peter and Christian’s long lost little brother Ola af Trampe, an extremely talented guitarist, producer and songwriter, also of Grand Illusion, Code and The Killbilly 5’ers fame. Without Ola, there would quite frankly be no C.O.P (and C.P would be a silly name for a band, wouldn’t it).
C.O.P are the new blue bloods of melodic rock, with their arresting songs, smash and grab choruses and captivating musicianship and they are here to show you what the State of Rock is like in 2015. “State Of Rock” is the name of their first album. The CD was mixed and record by Ola af Trampe at ChrisStudio, Nässjö, Sweden and Studio 165, Växjö, Sweden and mastered by Frank Rosato, Woodcliff Studios, Los Angeles, U.S.A.
Enough with the law enforcement metaphors, already – just listen to the music – it’s guaranteed to blow your mind and, quite possibly make you want to rock the fuck out.

For more than three decades, Nalle Påhlsson has been one of Sweden's leading rock bassists, providing reliable backing vocals along the way. September sees the release of Nalle Påhlsson's Royal Mess. An album where Nalle finally steps out as a lead singer, songwriter and versatile musician (providing rhythm guitars and keyboards, as well as bass).
Inspired by his oldest brother's record collection, Nalle started playing guitar at an early age. At 10, he joined his first band, switching to bass guitar the following year.
"Playing the bass reflects my personality. If I was a housebuilder I'd be into cement, working on the foundation. I feel just as at home playing the rhythm guitar, which has a similar role", Nalle smiles.
His early influences – Deep Purple, Kiss, The Sweet, Kansas – instilled the rock'n'roll dream, and the success of the band Europe proved that it was possible for Swedes his own age to make it.
Soon, Nalle was a sought-after bass player, touring and/or recording with some of Scandinavia's biggest names (Mikael Rickfors, Mats Ronander, Pugh Rogefeldt, Sanne Salomonsen, Easy Action and many others). He also formed what may have been Sweden's first tribute band, AB/CD. Not only did they play impeccable AC/DC covers; Nalle (who, being the rhythm guitarist, naturally called himself Nalcolm) also wrote new material in the style of the Australian rockers. AB/CD released one EP and two albums. The first album shifted 30,000 units, outselling some of Sweden's most hyped rock bands in the process.
Nalle continued to work as a freelance musician, as well as being a member of bands like Treat, Last Autumn's Dream, Vindictiv and Therion.
"I always tried to create bass lines that added something to the music, and made it more interesting and varied".
His efforts did not go unnoticed: in 2010, he was voted Bass Player of the Year on MelodicRock.com
But there was always a sense of unfinished business. He had his own album to make. And now it's finally here.
Royal Mess reflects a big part of Nalle's musical tastes. Crunchy riffs, high energy playing, and catchy melodies. Timeless and melodic hard rock/AOR, as opposed to metal. Elements of prog can be detected, too, but he has chosen to save most of that side for another time.
It would be hard to pick out specific highlights from such a strong collection of quality songs. Most of them convey a life-affirming feeling. Nalle has had his share of bad relationships and self-destructive behaviour. Four years sober, he has used his time well, playing sessions and touring the world as Therion's bass player, while making this album.
"I have spent a lot of time being drunk or hungover in my day. The drinking increased around 2008, and one day I had just had enough. I realized that not only did I hurt myself, but also the ones I care about the most: my kids, my mother, my brothers and my friends. I decided to look for help. Ever since then, my whole life has become more enjoyable".
Most of the album's lyrics describe this journey.
"I hope that the songs inspire others who find themselves in similar situations to make a change, and take control of their own destiny. It's never too late."
The album was produced and arranged by Nalle himself, and mixed by renowned producer/musician/songwriter/artist, Chris Laney, who provided the already big and bold material with his trademark "in your face" attitude, and a slightly more modern twist.
The list of musicians credited on the album reads like a who's who of the Swedish hard rock community. How about Kee Marcello (Easy Action/Europe), Love Magnusson (Dynazty), Pontus Norgren (Hammerfall), Micke Hujanen (AB/CD), Stefan Lindholm (Vindictiv), Henrik Bergqvist (The Poodles), and Kristian Niemann (Therion) – and that's just the solo guitarists. It seems that everyone who knows Nalle wanted to help put him in the spotlight by lending their talents to the album. However, it's Nalle's vocals, rhythm guitar, bass and songwriting that is the core of the album's sound and style. The question remains: Why on earth hasn't he sung lead before?
"A lot of people who have heard the album have wondered why I have waited so long to do it. I guess it's a question of self confidence. People also seem to find it refreshing that I have made a classic hard rock album that reminds them of the Seventies and Eighties. But this is quite simply the kind of music I grew up listening to. I guess the only target group I had in mind was me!" Nalle laughs.
Nalle Påhlsson's Royal Mess is a personal and musical victory.
Put it on, crank it up, and you will soon know why.
