THE DEAD DAISIES ‘Live And Louder’ Released May 19

VITAL NEW ‘LIVE AND LOUDER’ CD / DVD / DOUBLE VINYL / BOXSET RELEASED MAY 19TH ON SPITFIRE MUSIC / SPV

‘Live And Louder’, The Dead Daisies’ highly-anticipated live outing, set for release on May 19th on Spitfire Music / SPV, perfectly captures the awesome vibe of their supreme, sweat drenched, roof-raising live sets, recorded on a heady high at the end of an unbelievable 2016.

From the moment they dropped their first single ‘Long Way To Go’ ahead of their European Festival Summer in June, the hits just kept on coming. The 2nd single ‘Join Together’ ramped up the release of the third studio album ‘Make Some Noise’. The band were well underway touring the USA with KISS, a tour that finished with a sold-out headline show at LA’s prestigious Whisky A Go-Go.

The next single ‘Song And A Prayer’, was released with an accompanying short-film, refocused attention and rang in the final, massive touring phase of the year which saw the band go to Japan for the first time, where they immediately became media and fan darlings and went down a storm at the world-famous Loud Park festival. A string of dates in Korea for the USO and, as the year’s grand finale, a massive UK & European Co-Headline Tour that played 30+ shows to sold-out venues.

The ‘Daisies’ as they are affectionately referred to by their fans, quickly became people’s favourite live band with their relentless energy, stellar musicianship and unabashed joy in bringing the rock back into roll. The big question at signing sessions after each show and on the band’s social media channels continued to be: “When will there be a live album?”. People simply could not get enough of them live.

Not to turn down a good opportunity, the band recorded a number of shows on the UK & European Tour and, with the team that already made ‘Make Some Noise’ blow speakers worldwide. The album was mixed by Anthony Focx (Aerosmith, Bad Company, Metallica, Santana) at Focxhole Studios and mastered by Howie Weinberg. They assembled a true monster in the vein of the great Live Albums of the 70s. You can feel the sweat drip from the ceilings, the energy of the crowd becoming one with the band, screaming, hollering and forgetting about the often mundane reality for a night of true Rock’n’Roll. Warts ’n all, ‘LIVE & LOUDER’ is a document of a band in their prime, a raw slice of visceral energy, an in-your-face assault on the senses. Simply: THE DEAD DAISIES in their element and at their best!

Lead singer John Corabi adds: “We’re extremely excited and proud of our new album ‘LIVE & LOUDER’!!! A lot of the fans have been writing to us and saying how much they LOVED our records but were even more blown away by the band live!!! So this documents our last U.K./European tour, and also shows the world how truly loud and supportive The Dead Daisies fans are!!!! Thank you and Turn It Up!!!!”

‘LIVE & LOUDER’ will be released in a number of different, exciting formats. Again, the band listened to what the fans wanted and added a spectacular vinyl as well as a limited-edition box set that features, among other cool trinkets, an exclusive 7” vinyl single recorded at The Zoo at Planet Rock Radio’s highly coveted London fan-only gig in November 2016.

In The Studio - JOE ELLIOTT (Def Leppard)

Artist:
Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott Talks New Concert Film, Band History On In The Studio With Redbeard

Dallas, TX - February 7, 2016.  North American syndicated Rock radio show and website InTheStudio with Redbeard: The Stories Behind History’s Greatest Rock Bands catches up with Def Leppard’s lead singer Joe Elliott to discuss their scorching hot new live concert DVD And Their Will Be A Next Time... Live from Detroit  and more.
After decades of success filling arenas/stadiums around the world and selling tens of millions of albums, Def Leppard had a wish in their latest creative endeavor to capture the present and future, while paying homage to the past.

And Their Will Be A Next Time...Live from Detroit  is a new concert DVD and double CD that captures Def Leppard at their best, live in front of an adoring audience. But dig a little deeper and you get a sense of what really is at work. Singer, songwriter Joe Elliott speaks to In The Studio host Redbeard about what the band hoped to accomplish with this new live concert package celebrating who they are now and where they came from.

“Guys, I said, I think we really owe it to ourselves to kind of document ourselves the way we are now. Vivian (Campbell, one of two lead guitarists) has been in the band nearly a quarter of a century, and it’s kind of mad that the last (full concert) thing that we put out was on VHS tape!”
“When you have five alpha males in a band, you have to realize who the boss is, and we quickly established that the boss is the song…The radio taught us three minute Rock’n’Roll. There were big guitars on “Rebel, Rebel”, “Jean Genie”, “Metal Guru” and “(Bang a Gong) Get It On”... Those big drums, big choruses, big guitars, is what taught us who we are.”
                                                                                         - Joe Elliott

In The Studio - THE BABYS

Artist:

February 23, 2017, Dallas, TX -  InTheStudio.NET, the web home for North American syndicated Rock radio show In The Studio with Redbeard: The Stories Behind History’s Greatest Rock Bands  takes a look at a late ‘70s contender, The Babys, with a candid conversation with singer John Waite and keyboardist Jonathan Cain on the 40th anniversary year of their first hit “Isn’t It Time?”

That first musically ambitious Top 15 single from the original band of Waite, Michael Corby, Tony Brock, and Wally Stocker created enough momentum for the British quartet to inspire The Babys’ breakout 1979 album Head First, which itself peaked at # 22 and produced another Top 15 hit single “Every Time I Think of You”.  But after 1980’s Union Jacks album, which delivered “Back on My Feet Again” and the infectious “Midnight Rendezvous”, the band stumbled figuratively and, in lead singer John Waite’s unfortunate case, quite literally. But how? John Waite and Jonathan Cain share with In The Studio host Redbeard their own personal recollections of life in rock’s neo-natal unit trying to grow in America as The Babys.

“We went on the road a lot... They (record company) wouldn’t let a day go by without us doing something. We’d play in the cafeteria of some college and then go play a major gig at night, or we’d fly to Japan the next morning after a major three week outing playing everywhere in America... It was a real whirlwind. It was a great time.” - John Waite

“There are a lot of reasons why we disbanded. I guess the biggest reason was the money, the past and all the (management) mistakes that were made... It was like a snowball rolling down a hill and there wasn’t really any stopping it.” - Jonathan Cain

AXEL RUDI PELL Brings 'The Ballads V' To Fans April 21

- New ballads album "The Ballads V" out April 21 -
- Digital single and video for "Love's Holding On" feat. Bonnie Tyler out March 31 -

In January 2016, just after its release, his most recent studio album 'Games of Sins' entered the charts in Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Austria, Czech Republic and for the first time in the UK. Now Bochum-based guitar wizard AXEL RUDI PELL has announced the arrival of his next offering: 'The Ballads V' is set to hit record stores and digital platforms on 21st April 2017 via Steamhammer/SPV. In true PELL tradition, part five of his successful ballad compilation series features a smooth balance between the past six years and some brand-new songs.

For the first time ever in his almost thirty-year career as a solo artist, AXEL RUDI PELL welcomes a special guest star on one of his albums: rock legend BONNIE TYLER has recorded a stunning duet with ARP's longtime singer Johnny Gioeli. AXEL RUDI PELL is justly proud of his new single 'Love's Holding On' (street date: 31st March 2017), saying: 'BONNIE  TYLER only records songs she personally likes. So I wrote this tune just for her and she really loved it. She came to the studio and we recorded it within a couple of hours. The result is amazing – another soon-to-be PELL classic in the making. If I haadn't been a fan already, I would have turned into one instantly.'

Apart from another brand-new track called 'On The Edge Of Our Time', PELL has again risen to new challenges with his rocking version of the Ed Sheeran hit 'I See Fire' (known from the motion picture blockbuster 'The Hobbit'), which is an interesting take on one the best ballads in recent years. It shows that even hard rockers like PELL can have a sensitive side, and quite successfully at that.

The other seven tracks on 'The Ballads V' (among them a new take on Neil Young's 'Hey Hey My My', a live version of the Deep Purple classic 'Mistreated' and a previously unreleased live recording of his own fine ballad 'The Line'), present AXEL RUDI PELL at his best.

PELL has established himself as an outstanding rock star, having sold up to 1.5 million records worldwide. Since leaving the influential German metal outfit Steeler in 1989, he's been out there on his own, recording and touring with some of the finest vocalists from the world of rock music: Charlie Huhn (Ted Nugent, Gary Moore, Victory, Humble Pie, Foghat), Rob Rock (Impelliteri, Driver, Joshua, Avantasia), Jeff Scott Soto (Yngwie Malmsteen, Soul Sirkus, Talisman, Journey, Trans-Siberian Orchestra) and last but not least the mighty Johnny Gioeli, who has been working with Axel since 1997 (having been in Hardline before that, a project started by Journey guitar legend Neal Schon in 1991).

"The Ballads V" will be released on April 21st 2017 through SPV/Steamhammer as CD digipack (incl. poster), double gatefold purple vinyl, limited boxset (incl. CD digipack, powerbank, CD slim case single, sticker, photocard - Europe only), download and stream.

Tracklisting:
1) Love's Holding On 5:06 (new song feat. Bonnie Tyler)
2) I See Fire 6:02 (new cover version, Ed Sheeran song)
3) On The Edge Of Our Time 7:42 (new song)
